Second relic quest, can't do certain stuff as another job while on the quest

So I have a 50 whm, i have my relic and started up my black mage relic quest. My friend and I are doing them at the same time but it's his first one so i'm jsut trying to get him caught up, said i'd heal if it fits better because not a lot of people are doing chimera or hydra atm. It ended up that way and i had to heal

when my friend tried to start the chimera it wouldn't let me join because i was a whm with a blm quest for chimera. I'm just wondering if it is going to do that for the primals too, ifrit garuda titan, ifrit and garuda i'm not too worried about but titan i need to remain open for my fc. Is it going to lock me out of titan like it did for chimera if i try to do it as a whm with a blm quest?

Didn't know there was a restriction for Chimaera/Hydra. I can for a fact say that you aren't bound by these rules for the primals.

I'm not asking if i have to be on the same job to complete the quest i'm asking if it is going to stop me from even DOING the primals as a different job.

You can do the primals as any job just wont get credit for your relic quest.
