Hackers and Black Lists

What will happen to players that were hacked regarding black listing?

As you know, everyone black lists the spammers.. but these spammers are using real characters played by legitimate players...

I was hacked, I purchased security token and restored my account.. but now my 50 is most likely on everyone's black list.

what will be done about this? i have contacted Square but will they actually give a damn? or will I be forced to reroll -_-?

I imagine that most have already, or will soon start cycling names through their blacklists as it fills up. If the current rate of about 14 names a day is same for most, it'll probably be a week or two before the majority of those with it have moved your name off.

just heard from GM.. they won't clear you from black lists if you were hacked, he even recommended i server transfer when it becomes available -_- which is dumb because all my friends are on behemoth.

That's kind of the circumstance of an unfortunate situation. What if there were people who blisted you for it being you, not the RMT? lol

It's not their responsibility that someone hacked your account. It's like being robbed, and demanding that either the police, or the people who made the stolen goods, give you a replacement. Or I guess in this case, more like identity theft and demanding that credit companies overlook your damaged credit score because of it. Unfortunate things happen when stuff goes wrong.

they probably cant and id bet money (real money alot of it) that they dont have a tool that can do it

But not everyone only has a single character on a single server.

A thread of people who got their accounts back could be a good thing, since many of us are loathe to remove the names while there's a very high chance of just having to turn back around and blist it again.

Not always. It depends on what they have selected on their settings page.

Thanks but there's no point if half the server has me on ignore... my only option is to reroll.. and I have a relic 50 -_-

you'd think Square would be more supportive over stuff like this.
