Why I wont transfer servers.. Even though I want to.

Hello,

I am the leader of a small Free Company on Balmung. It's only about 4 members big, with alts in it, but I feel like we've accomplished much.
Before the terms for Server Transfers were announced; we were planning to jump ship to Gilgamesh and we were getting very psyched and pumped for this transition to a non-legacy server.
However upon hearing about the Server Transfer FAQ and all that was listed in it, our hearts dropped about 3 miles down into a heap of junk.

In order to transfer, the below requirements need to be fulfilled:
→ You cannot belong to a Free Company (If you do belong to one, please leave the Free Company).
→ Make sure the character you wish to transfer is logged out.
→ Make sure there are no items being sold on the market boards.
→ There will be a limitation on the maximum amount of gil you can bring into the destination World.

We feel that with all of us moving we should be able to keep our Free Company intact so long as the leader (Me) moves to the same server.

This is heartbreaking to hear for those Free Companies; that are making the big migration, with a lot of work done to them when we must disband and delete all our hard progress in order to qualify for a World Transfer.

And now we will forever be stuck on a legacy server that we feel is too far ahead in the game and economy to wait for us to catch up.

Or transfer and spend NOT an eternity getting back to where you were and beyond on a server of your choice.

It really doesn't take that long to get your Free Company to rank 5. It took us like.. 3 days at most. The points you earn really don't do much, unless they decide to add something later. My FC has somewhere around a million of those points just sitting there with nothing to spend them on.

Yeah, they're totally going to change the rules for 4 people. Just make a new one.

I can't see any difference in Legacy server... Gil is not hard to find and even if you have gil, you have nothing to buy. Equipment from dungeons (chests or tomes) are better than everything in the market.

just keep doing dungeons and you'll be equal to those 1.0 players in very short time.

As far as I know, non-legacy servers aren't any different from legacy ones. Other than that, what exactly is all this hard work that you would be losing? It takes a few days to rank up even a small FC I think? Assuming their members play the game.

Considering when server transfers are finally implemented(unless they change it a 4th time) you'll still have a good month before this patch comes out to gain those levels back and that is saying they actually do something with guilds in 2.1 other than give them houses.
