So then....why hasn't it been downed yet? Unless there's some super secret mechanic after them that are preventing guilds like yourself from finishing it, why has no one in the world done it yet? If twisters weren't bugged then why hasn't any other group said otherwise? Could be every single other group is just doing them wrong and hitting the same wall, but it's odd that not a single other one has found the so called strat to get around the insta gibbing.
Why is it so far fetched that no team has figured it out yet? BG thinks its fine. So all of a sudden, unbeaten = broken? LolSo then....why hasn't it been downed yet? From what I recall (I may be wrong), they're only notable for FFXI, which is extremely low on the skill requirement scale.
I wouldn't take them as an authority on anything outside of theorycrafting, unless I'm wrong and they have do notable achievements in other MMOs with higher skill requirements.
Aside from that, they tend to over-praise SE.
Turn 2's boss is extraordinarily well-tuned and requires the utmost execution from every single person in the party. The fights are well beyond our expectations. Thank you, Yoshida and the battle team.

As far as FFXIV goes in 1.0, they were pretty much always one of, if not the first group to beat content every patch which is why some people regard their skill level so highly. From what I understand, the way they do turn 2 is much different than the norm in that they were using monks (and still do) for turn 2 while downing 4 of the nodes. So, in the way they did it, it was something that required perfect execution. There are however, much simpler ways, and none of the fights require any sort of perfect execution up to turn 5, so in that aspect I agree with what you are saying. As far as turn 5 goes, I feel like if people can not beat it in 800+ attempts at this point then there is something that needs to be looked at by SE if it wasn't intended. I do believe however, that this was intended and they are using it as a carrot on a stick to get people to 2.1 where they will more than likely nerf twintania so that it is in a form that is beatable with consistency without the use of an exploit. We are passed the point in time where we have the ability to question whether or not it is a gear issue when many people going into it for the past few weeks have had complete sets of level 90 gear. The only other possibilities are either SE over tuning the fight which is more than likely the case due to the extreme jump in difficult between turn 4 and 5 whereas there is only a slight jump in difficulty between the others, or there being some secret to the fight that no one has figured out to give more consistency. I think that the obvious answer here is
The secret boss in turn 3.
For now, we have an entire week to think about it since we are locked out of the fight due to the bug, but unless someone discovers something soon that they are willing to share with the world it looks like Yoshis prediction is going to come true. Many people I know flat out have no motivation to run coil past turn 4, which is probably the opposite effect SE intended by making the fight so hard because it means people are losing interest in the game. Personally, I am all for a challenge, but I won't be too thrilled if that challenge means, as of now, a fight that is unbeatable without exploits to make sure people don't beat all of the content within said patches duration.

I think you can count most groups who have cleared 1-4 into that category. If even one group had beaten it legitimately then there would be a lot more motivation for others to try, but if the best players in the world are still wiping after 800 attempts then what's the point?
My group only plays around 3 hours a night, 4 days a week so the chances of us beating it are virtually nil.
So you honestly mean to tell us that in the hundreds of hours that have collectively gone into this phase including (I'm sure) your own, that not one single solitary person or group of people were capable of coming up with a strategy which effectively and repeatably allowed for you to avoid twister, yet you believe it is not bugged? There isn't a single mechanic in this entire dungeon which is novel in any way. Don't kid yourself.
This post reeks to me of bait for your upvote brigade, fishing for compliments and accolades from the masses who don't know any better.
I can't speak for Yenn, but I have to say it was highly over-praised. We came in the dungeon (as non legacy) a week later than they (legacy) with 2 bosses less worth of gear, zero crafted gear, zero materia, and one level 50 class per player. We killed Caduceus about a week after their initial kill, first non-legacy. We killed ADS several days days after their initial kill, again first non-legacy and possibly second overall. We beat Turn 4 an HOUR after their initial kill, second in the world, all of these with zero prior information and no gear outside of darklight (and sometimes worse.) We went in expecting these highly tuned, extremely mechanically difficult encounters which required "perfect execution by every member of the raid" and instead received mostly mechanically simple encounters with relatively large margins of error.jesus, they did not over-praise. they actually meant that.
over a month ago, when they did claim the world first, they executed the dungeon with DL gears and relics, plus zero strategic knowledge about the fight.
look at you, relic+1, some af2 gears plus overabundant info on youtube?
they started from a scratch mate.
They over praised every encounter in the dungeon. This seems to be status quo. The only remotely tight tuning was Turn 4, and it will be made completely and utterly obsolete by gear. If this dungeon was released in perfect working order at the level of gear they intended it to be at, it would have been bowled over in a matter of days. Not releasing Crystal Tower, from a Binding Coil perspective, was probably the best thing that could have happened in this circumstance.

Yeah...I think we burned the last dreadnaught to around ~55% before any AoE even started happening. That fight is already a joke. I would really love to see a hard concrete post on CT. I would have rather had a late launch with CT and Coil available from the get go, and BL + Coil/CT content coming with 2.1. As of right now, 2.2 looks to be any kind of progression content, which could be anywhere from 7-8 months away; and we don't even know if it will be more difficult than Coil was. I would love to see a letter detailing their plans for at least the first year. The only remotely tight tuning was Turn 4, and it will be made completely and utterly obsolete by gear.
