That could be true that it has not been updated. I thought it should have been updated by now; apologies if that is the case.

It's just very hard for me to believe people when this exploit has been up for a while -- you cannot tell if anything is legitimate.

Seems like Coffee Break has the achievement for it.

Honestly what the first kill will come down to is ping and how close you are to your datacenter, which ya.....Japan being right ontop of theirs. I'd have to agree that without a video this means next to nothing and should be written off as an exploit(which they even said it was). Gear has some merit on this fight but going by everyones gear whether the paladin was as geared or not they all seemed to have it gearwise, the rest all comes down to mechanics and again ping.

While I totally agree that the fight isn't a big gear check, you can clearly see he's wearing a Hoplite Tabard from AK in the screenshot.

The AK Hoplite Tabard is irrelevant. For a PLD to have 5.8k without a food buff, all their other equipment is some combination of DL/AF2/Allagan gear. With food I'm at 5.8k and I'm in full dl, minus still having the AK necklace, and all but 4 of my bonus points in vit (which I plan on fixing soon).

(Edit: that being said, this was still not a legit kill, and the FC that did it is not trying to claim it was)

Somewhere in the neighbourhood of ~24-~26%.

You're not getting an extra 5% mitigation from 30 STR.

Based on my understanding of the tier system, this is correct. 30 STR will allow your Blocks to block for ~1% more and Parry to parry for ~1% more, assuming those points push you over a tier. If they do not push you in to the next tier then they are giving you 0 mitigation. It all depends how close to a tier you are, but in general it is not worth it.

As to the 5.8k, it is highly unlikely you are going to be surviving the later phases of Turn 5 with that little base HP, assuming you are MTing. I have that being our off-tank and I am frequently within a sliver of being one-shot through cooldowns.
