can't finish quests

I recently finished the grand company quest shadows uncast from the maelstrom and when i went to talk to the npc the completed txt was shown but it didnt register, I logged out but it still hasnt registered and now i cant seem to turn in other quests, please help

Update: nvm the problem was inventory space, since when does ssels affect that?
