One. I don't need you to 'give' me anything. I don't know if you got a few people to agree with you and your little ego has gotten all swollen up or you are just naturally this arrogant. But let me remind you I don't need to prove anything to you nor do I have a desire to. I have played the game, I have done the content, and more importantly, I have enjoyed myself while doing so. I have about an ant's fart worth of care for your opinion and your oh so generous 'benefit of the doubt'. Think whatever you want but that won't stop me from enjoy the class as it is now and making the most of it.

Like I said, get that 'cool kids' logic out of your head. Just cause most groups prefer 2xPLD doesn't negate the fact that people have cleared the content with WAR as well. But I will like to add a third type of WAR to my 2 kinds. The kind that doesn't have a good party behind them. Like I said before it takes a good player to make the most of PLD but it takes a good party to make the most of WAR. Honestly once you have a great party at your back you can really let loose and get away with some stuff you couldn't otherwise.

Like my coordinating IB with my healer's stoneskin. My healer knows to looks for Thrill of Battle. I usually do this around 3/4 to 1/2 health. So by the time I've gotten stoneskin up I've already healed myself to full or near full. So that around 9k hp with the stoneskin I'm effectively sitting at just about 11k health. In which case the OP is correct. Popping Foresight increases the eHP of that 11k health and to a smaller extent so does Awareness. Featherfoot is always iffy with placement. I tend to take mine out and save it for batting 'clean up' So when Foresight wears off that is when I pop it if I really need to. Convalescence is one I don't use in that rotation, but I admit there I times where I didn't really wish I had but there were also times where I popped it and survived the phase enough to not have needed at that time.

Though I'd like to point out that outside of Convalescense, every other time when people were comparing PLD and WAR mitigation and Featherfoot, Foresight, and Awareness was brought up. Everyone was acted as if they were minor cooldowns not worth much. And now when someone wants to use them in a way where they are actually beneficial everyone is all "OMG you're blowing all of your cooldowns you are defenseless." No, you still have your self healing and self healing buffs. Though I'd space out one or two of those cooldowns. Foresight and Featherfoot you can afford to be a bit careless with. They have 90s cooldowns. Awareness and Concalescense you might want to hold on to. But normally I space them out. Soon as one wares off I'll activate another. This leaves a little room for the 'luck' factor. Sometimes I get some lucky dodges or my healers get a lucky string of crits and I find myself not really needed to use that cooldown right at that moment so I can hold off for a bit. But like I said sometimes I don't activate them and I really wish I did. Which brings me to my closing point:

Cooldowns are for the living. You can have the best cooldown ability ever but it will be as pointless as the most worthless cooldown ever if you fail to activate before you die. And given the small effect of most of WAR's cooldowns you have two choices. Use them early and space them out or use them all together. I've done both, I prefer the former but the secondary is powerful if you use it at the right time. Just don't let yourself get down to 1k exp and expect one of your cooldowns to save you.

As someone who actually mained BST. I have to say people are stupid. Blaming the developers is like suing McDonalds for spilling coffee on yourself. (Just an example, I actually followed that case and that one was completely justified but just making a point.)
There had to be a trade off at the time because BST was the ONLY job that could realistically solo, but I digress. This is FFXIV....

Just wanted to say you can call it what you want but 'hiding behind friends' but I call it "having fun with a group of like minded people'.
I don't know why people try so hard to fit into groups that aren't even willing to accept them for who they are. This goes for gaming and for life. You can struggle and struggle to appease the l33tist and stroke their little e-peen until they throw you a few scraps of their acceptance. And you can keep playing with randumbs and having a hard time because everyone in the party expects you to perform like a PLD and aren't willing to adjust their playstyle to take full advantage of what a WAR has to offer. But I'm just fine... doing content... with friends... having fun.... with a class that I enjoy.... with people I actually like.
