romantic storylines, how about more storylines at all. If they truely want to get rpg gamers from console they need to add more progression through exploration and story, this is why most people buy rpgs, i dont know why mmos have come to think its not a major part of the genre. Especially JRPGs in going online FF forgot what the difference between them and wrpgs were. and hey if they have some romantic storyline subplot that people who like can enjoy, that only gives the game more appeal.

its best for the game, and really any body trying to make an MMO to try to hit multiple markets, MMOs should have something for everyone, it even works better here, because you could have people who like cutesy crap persuing the plotlines about that, and people who like the battles with dragons pursuing that. And the dudes who like sluts persuing that, and the people who think they are all going to hell pursuing that.

You realize the ingame text has strippers, hoes, money grubbing aholes, sluts, religous leaders, aristocrats, moral high ground people, its really a quite complex and varied world, the game should reflect that.

if it adds to the immersion im all for it, since i liked the way it was presented in fallout 3. OFC there are hookers, and "sin" and whatnot, but it has to fit to the gameworld. And if its for the looks i don't mind but i don't want a tank fighting in a silk dress with +150 vit on it or something. Perhaps make the "townsgear" with an toggle on/off option.
(i think perfect world has that - i dont like that game but the option id good imo)
So you just go into your character window (or hotkey) and change to towngear.
That would perhaps even increase the feeling of being in a city or on the battlefield.

I would welcome that but it has to fit to the ffxiv gamestyle and aion, tera, blade&... all wouldnt fit.
AOC has a lot of hookers running around and it fits pretty much into the game world, but they dont all look like a britney doll with silicon boobs. there has to be variety imo...

re the OP, I don't know if I should laugh or cry at that idea. But one thing I have noticed is that the 'sexier' the ads are for an MMO game, the worse it typically is.

Nothing says "I'm desperate" more than a game that tries to sell itself with sex -- except perhaps the player that purchases it for the same reason

To like something and being obsessed is obviously not the same thing.

Same goes for being prude and being mature, it is simply not the same.
Obviously many people can not deal with a bit of skin.
I see that a lot in the industry.
While most western developers don't really care or mind, very often US developer and
consumer will shit bricks when they see a nipple.

This is a game, this is not a public political party running for elections.

I did never say that i agree with the OP word by word. However i would welcome more sexy outfits and the option to have larger boobs. I see no reason to discriminate busty girls, unless you really believe that the world consists of only b and c cups.
