That is what sexism is. Assuming "what women want/ are all about". All those mmo you listed have no meat and are tasteless. I play an mmo for fun, not to dress up in skimpy outfits to be "cute" for the guys. Infact most gaming girls do not act like that. Just because certain stuff sells, don't mean it always works. And most girls and woman play gamjes to have fun, not look @ male eye candy while dressing like a lil girl or hooker. Also most the games you listed actually have erp issues and big pedophile populations.

Onething I did notice though is SE is using 8 digit ID numbers for characters now, and I am confused as to what triggered it, as before everyone had 7 digit ID's and this ment a total of 10million chars, and im sure we've not made (or even have) 10million lol

How hard is it to understand everything else uses these methods to sell so it makes -sense- that if this game can't sell itself on gameplay it is a -marketing tactic- that will result in a -rise in population-.

why? Because we are genetically programmed to find certain features such as big eyes cute so that we take care of children. So putting cute things, which we are genetically programmed to find cute, into a game, can't really go wrong.

Even FFXI had cute stuff and pretty gear.
You could raise your own chocobo from a baby
you had an adorable moogle in your mog house
you had opaline body, legs, gloves, boots, and they were VERY popular with both male and female players.
you had tonberrys
etc.

And look at all the "cute" animes that are super popular. There is a reason WHY THEY ARE POPULAR. Not because all the girls watching them are stupid bimbos. They are cute, people enjoy them, lots of smart people enjoy them. So get over the whole sexist thing.

And yes, guys will like bigger chests and skimpy clothing. Given that people have posted asking how to increase their chars chest size (pick diff faces) i would think this is an obvious way to market the game. Lots of other games have been very successful by using this method. You don't have to change all of FFXIV into pink hello kitty land. Add in a few cute costumes, a vampire based quest story line, etc. Then advertise using it.

A lot of teens and young adults have ps3s who -aren't- games. And my point is SE should try to attract them with the PS3 release. Look at what is "super popular" in society. Twilight, boy singers like justin bieber, hello kitty, hot topic, etc. There is a -huge- population of PS3 users who SE could turn into MMO players by offering them a console MMO that has things they like.

Are you really saying a lame twilightesque quest line isnt worth an extra 40,000 players?

@Az I'm a woman and I'm offended by your lack of self respect and maturity. I do not enjoy dressing up and getting hit on while playing a game. It is gross and creepy. I do not play video games for cute thing and most cute anime I watch have epic story lines. I am not really a troll nor just pick fights with ppl. Like i said those games are not very good at all. And seriously have a high pedophile fan base. I played domo and several you mentioned. Only time ppl wanted to talk to me in game was to hit on me. And want to date me online. You must not play mmo alot. A good % of mmo gamers disliked twilight. And actually everyone who owns a ps3 is a gamer. There isn't much else you can do on it. You gotta understand that in reality, ffxiv don't need that crap.
