When people say warrior is fine they either A. play gladiator and for some strange reason don't want to see their co-tank partner made an equal. Else they are B. unaware. The problem with warrior isn't a perception its based on the opinion of every end game healer and every conscientious end game tank. You may think, A. If you die its the healers fault or B. If you didn't die its, because you're awesome. However in reality your survival is based on both your capabilities and the healers and warrior contributes almost nothing to its own survival. If you didn't die as a warrior its once again the healer.

After reading yoshi's statement I laughed, because if hes played warrior he obviously is suffering from dumb tank syndrome and recommend he play a healer for a warrior in titan and coil then paladin and tell us how he feels after "real" experience instead of simply looking at hypothetical outcomes presented in data.

I am sure you can take a Warrior all the way to endgame, but you would need to be very, very well geared.

They need to fix foresight, its quite terrible. As for all this IB shield talk, thats not a good idea, how would that translate to pvp? Wars would be invincible. As fo incoming dmg scaling or even hp scaling on self heals, that alone would fix warrior. But yeah, foresight... I hate you, atleast make it half as good as rampart.

Final fantasies are always pve games has always been just for fun a niche thing. Not to be taken seriously.

When they (hopefully) buff us. 80% of the people who don't want a WAR in their group base it off public opinion. The 20% base it off personal experience. If public opinion changes that WAR is on par with PLD (or better depending on how the buff goes), that 80% will follow through and consequently so will the 20%.

As a warrior on COil, turn 1, I can say this.

1, any content a paladin can tank, a warrior will be able to do. What that means is, where ever a paladin can go a warrior can go. The are warriors on turn 4 of coil and survive just fine.

2. Warriors WILL unfornately put more stress on a healer. This does NOT matter though until Titan HM and beyond where it becomes painfully obvious. I had a experience as a war tank on titan hm, where I made it to 10-5% of titan hm as a Main tank. What ended up killing me was the healers began wiping because they had to focus more on healing me and less on their own survival. The very same healers one shot Titan hm when a paladin tank came to tank, with me as the off tank. The paladin while he did take loads of damage, his health never did drop below 70%. My health on the other hand always droped to somewhere around 30 and some times 20% and maybe a inner beast would off set that by 10% if that.

I've been able to hold my own on that battle as off tank long as the steel scales don't get out of hand. As long as the healers bring their A game I live., actually correction, everybody brings their a game, I live.

I haven't BEAT it yet, but there are warriors out there that have killed it.
