This is such a cool idea, and I love you are doing this to show your passion for the game. I really got so attached to my character and I love him so much.
The idea of getting any art at all would be a dream. X3




As for how he was designed, well for some reason I immediately knew he would be a Lalafell, and im not sure what happened with the design, I was trying some stuff out to make him similar to a character in something im writing, then suddenly I looked and it was just perfect. And I knew then that I was going to use and be him.

(Oh and P.S. if you decide to draw him, could you do it without any glasses (P.P.S. or both if you are really feeling generous XD) as he normally doesn't wear them, they are kinda like his reading glasses, so not how he normally looks)

Oh and as a happy little extra I thought I might add his story.

Alex is in fact from another world, but is now lost, his memories barely there, searching for a way back home, often being drawn into helping each world he visits.

Like our FF Gilgamesh friend Alex often finds himself trapped in the void looking for a way out, and that is how he found Eorzea, a realm stinking of void interference.

He hoped he might find some answers, or maybe a way to control or manipulate the void to find his way home... before he forgets what home is...

Nym has always been a name i liked, Undlin Was some goddess of love ( can't right off recall) I chose elezen because their body shape is much like mine, tall/slender. I've always loved dark elves so my inspiration drew from them

I started nym back in 1.0, A young one he was, Thriving for battle, yet also enjoying the view from LL a lot! He was not only a a protector for his friends he was a great cartographer as well! As time grew on he aged His once dark hair turning shades of white. I guess you get a few white/grey hairs after slaying three primals!

Originally played on Besaid (rp) server and loved it!

I don't have much of an RP backstory for my character, but it does have a history. My character is named, and modeled after my very first MMO character Nim'Loki in Ragnarok Online, who was a Swordsman and eventually Crusader. Keeping my party safe is always the most important thing to me while playing.

Hahaha, yes those cutscenes with him were a bit weird, felt like I had an evil twin or something.

Here is the progression of my character through games. (again, based my ffxiv char off the original from RO)

I deviated from the original in other games, hence the elf ears in Lineage 2 and PSO2. But I think it's pretty close to my original RO char ^_^

You can also probably tell that in those deviations they were more oriented around being a damage dealer than a tank. Hence why I felt like getting back to my original char with FFXIV.

My main, Key, is my alter ego in Eorzea. She's been my main in most of the mmorpgs I've played so far. Her name has varied, since I like following naming conventions. I usually choose human as her race, but there are times she's been a half-elf/elf as well. And she's always, always been a spell caster, preferably a CC class- Arcanist here as my first class. She's bookish, lazy, overpompous at times and never goes out without a few books/scrolls in her bag.

Originally I wanted to just use a revamped version of my FFXI char (shown in my sig), but since I wanted to use a melee job and my XI char was a summoner, I decided to translate into eorzea one of my original characters I've been using for an OC comic battle contest.



I originally made her for an illustration piece for an exhibit at my town about steampunk, then reused her for the comic battles, eventually I created some sort of plot where she needed to transverse universes (as for starters reaching the OC battle island was via dimension travel) so it was kinda easy to replicate her in FFXIV as a dragoon (as she used a spear on the battles)
