Random crashes.... Bsod.... Getting ridiculous now

Sick and tired of these random crashes and blue screens I get. Could be playing the game fine, then the game just closes itself out and I have to reboot to be able to log back in. Hard to do group titan when I'm always the guy crashing once or twice during a run.

Or, I'll get the error "final fantasy xiv has stopped working".

    Or I'll get a bsod

It's not my hardware because I ran every stress test available and my system is very reliable and stable. I even reformatted my drives and reinstalled windows and the game. This is the only game that all these problems happen with.

The game even causes crashes for my mobo monitoring programs "AI Suite".

I even closed out every major and minor program not needed for operations, closed down my virus protection and it still crashes randomly. Disabled firewall, basically did everything I could on my end. All drivers are up date.

Absolutely convinced this is a problem on square's side, seeing how there's other threads with people having the same problems. The game ran flawlessly in beta up to phase 4 and been having these problems since.

without BSOD stop code, its hard to give any advice, I can give you the most common ones
    most likely
bad graphical drivers/game does not like your drivers - try to update to most recent ones (if you are using them, try older drivers)

    not likely
bad RAM. get memtest86, install on flash card, boot from it, and let the test finish at least 2 times (2 passes), windows memtest is not reliable. Warning: memtest take a loong time to finish (2GB ram = 1 hour of testing) so if you have 8 gb ram = 4hrs of testing x2 (because of two passes). Single error means the RAM needs to be replaced (or if overclocked, revert to default settings).
    OR
weak/bad Power supply - some games might be very demanding for CPU and GPU power, increasing load to max might lower voltages, resulting in random error. (you would be surprised how crappy are power circuits in some "high end" models)

post BSOD error code and more precise advice/solution may be provided.

If its an issue with the PSU it will usualy shut off your computer. Bad ram could do it, but the first thing I thought of when reading the post was bad/conflicting video card drivers.

Blue screen of death is typically something on your end. I've had memory that passed memtest but ended up being the culprit. 1 bad driver can cause the issue. Weak or bad PSU does not always mean the computer will shut off or reset. You can also get the vid card stops working or screen freezes or you get the blue screen of death. Mobo cmos settings can be wrong. If you're O/Cing the CPU on that Asus mobo i'd suggest you set it to auto o/c. I use this on my Asus mobo and it has my cpu running at 4.43ghz and my ram running at 1,000mhz*2 or 2,000mhz if you prefer. Manually setting it caused me to much heart ache. With all the symptoms you've listed i'm Absolutely convinced this is a problem on your end. But there is still the possibility it's on S/E's side. I just highly doubt it.

It's not the hardware. I've had no problems with other games at the absolute highest settings. I've switched parts out and the same problems occur with this game and this game only. It's not the blue screens that are bothering me because it doesn't happen often enough to annoy me.

It's the random crashes the game has whenever I'm in an instance, zoning, teleporting, etc. For no reason the game will just shut itself down.

what about crash log? You know, it's hard to give advices, when you describe symptoms but don't give any outputs. Crash log may point where the error is.

BTW: I would be more concerned about those BSOD instead of crashes, BSOD is sign that something is really wrong, (and actually some crashes may lead to BSOD). so please, open windows logs and post the bsod stop code - hit start button an search for eventvwr.msc and launch, under Widnows logs>system you should find an Error level message when the computer crashed with some details. also good overview about the history can be found when - start button>search for perfmon.msc > reliability monitor (depending on windows version, it will be under monitoring tools or right click monitoring tools > show reliability history)
