if you mean make a new character on that server, then i cant do that. i can only afford 2 slots, and 1 of them belongs to my brother. if you mean go to the forums of besaid and cotnact them, then well, i dont exactly know how i'd do that, those forums are meant for server discussion, not inviting ppl form said server to join an RPG.

Additional characters are free at the moment. So you actually could start one on Besaid and see if you like it.

Not saying you should drop your tabletop RPG idea, but there's no reason not to check out another server.

Or instead of doing this you could make a character on Besaid for just a few days and perhaps shout in town asking people to join your RPG. I have a feeling this might work. Many role-players there like text based RP too.
Make some friends quickly, add them to a messenger/email/website and delete the Besaid char. ^^

but also you Didn't clarafie how fighting is going to be with out dice rolling.

The link to the rpg me and my friends played before. in some of the later pages, there is a fight.

come on, i gave you ppl those links for a reason. so i wouldnt have to spend allot of time discussing how its all played with you. i dont want to sound rude, but im getting a bit impatient.

Recently, on an oblivion modding site for a modding team I'm a part of called team eccentric, we've been doing some DND styled RPG's, just without the character sheets, or the dice.

Our most recent one,l base doff of a zombie mod for oblivion, died out due to slow progression as it was play-by-post.

Recently, though, i started the recruitment thread for a new one. mainly, its based in Eorzea. Yup. an FF XIV RPG.

However, due to the community there having a very small understanding of the final fantasy universes, im getting a hard time getting any recruits.

So, im just posting this here to ask if any of the Final Fantasy XIV fans here are interested.

I will warn you ahead of time, when making a webs.com account, its going to want you to make your own website before letting you progress. just flow with it, and make something random that you dont want.

If you choose to join up, there are 2 camapgins to choose from.

Characters will start out at a relatively medium rank, relatively speaking. As there are no character sheets or dice, its all based on the following factors: What do you do, and what do you attempt to do? Combat, you cant just say "I kill it" you have to describe a specific attack, like thrusts, slashes, butting them up the head with your hilt, things like that. i present the players with situations, and they have to tell me how they react.

Observing your enemies, is also a very useful tactic. some enemies will have different advantadges or disadvantedges, and finding them out can be the key to survival.

This whole thing is sort of like a tabletop RPG. most notably, Dungeons and dragons or G.U.R.P.S. Just without chaqracter sheets or dice.

well, the free to play period is temporary. besides, when it comes to new individuals, and just shouting: "RPG THIS WAY! WANNA KNOW MORE? SEND ME A /TELL!" Im really not good at that.

well, the free to play period is temporary.

Temporary, has been going for like 8 months I think now, so you don't have to worry. You might enjoy besaid and level your character as you role-play, then you can get rid of your old character before the subscriptions begin.
