Tanks with Ifrit/Garuda weapon...or even less?

I'm currently rocking my Grand Company weapon (I've had terrible luck with primals) and my FC BLM has his Relic +1. It's not EASY holding threat with him constantly trying to steal it (a gentleman's game we play) but for the most part I perform admirably and we have smooth and fluent runs. In addition to this we sometimes run with a SMN who puts DoTs on every mob and so on. The best way to deal with it is to experiment with a rotation that works. However, the people you were running with were purposefully sabotaging your attempts and relying on their gear to carry them. Honestly they were probably laughing it up in vent or something just having fun messing with a random tank. I wouldn't worry too much about this incident. But with an Ifrit weapon you should be able to tank for Relic +1 DPS who are cooperating and attacking marked targets, letting you hit first, etc.

I leave 'lolleet' groups like that to find a new tank, if they don't want to (focus target) or burn down mobs correctly, why should I waste my time? I couldn't care less about winning the instance if it means having to put up with dopes like that. You don't want to play a party how its supposed to be played, GL tanking Mr. BLM! How's that wait for ya? Long enough? I hope it is~ cause you're gonna wait a biiiiit longer :P

Read over some of the butthurt baddy dps saying 'l2tank' xD Probably don't even realize there is a hate meter. Just leave if you encounter people like that. Well, give em a few chances, but odds are if they haven't bucked up by the first boss, they'll be baddies through and through.

The only thing I can say is go into sword oath instead if you can't hold aggro there is no reason to be in shield oath
