I love the defensive baddies here... "no YOU where doing it wrong"
Sure that is why I cleared most of a dungeon with dps for tanks. Also you should totally ignore my having completed the story with a tank.

I bet ya this nub Rochetm, cast regen on the tank at every pull, then complain why the mob agro him instead of tank.
its not that hard to heal those places. I healed Haukke Manor as a BLM, jumping between DPS and healing. Do you even Red Mage, Bro?
Lol, had to do the same with my lowly thaum the other night in a 4 man dungeon... it was so rediculous lol.
Firstly, I join with 1 dps raging hard at the tank saying wow **** this guy, he is ***** n stuff. I was like hrmmmm.. and started making my way towards where the tank was and the other dps, while on my way there the guy complaining left dungeon. Once I get there, I realize his agony. This "?tank?" would not pull aggro, like seriously lol. And the dps was like bro you got to pull aggro not us, he still wouldn't ( not sure if he could even understand us as he wouldn't say anything, but he was definatly active). So the archer decides to pull , my thm becomes a conjurer , and after archer has full hate from all surroundign mobs.. the tank becomes a dps and uses no emnity moves, the shock of it all o.0
Somehow by some miracle, we actually finished the dungeon this way. I don't remember the tanks name, and I hope not to run into him again and I pray he learns to communicate and learn his roles or this game community will eat him alive, with good cause.
Had a PLD in Shield Oath with a WAR offtank without Defiance. They were competing for top aggro spots on Ultima Weapon phase 1, so the boss was switching back and forth a lot. It was silly that neither tank could decide who was going to be the tank, but also that the WAR was beating the PLD for enmity without Defiance. I was *this* close to asking the WAR to throw on Defiance and end the debate that was making it very difficult for me to maintain flanking bonuses, while I'm also eating cleaves because the "tank" runs to me to dodge plumes, and this makes UW hit me to while I'm ALSO trying to dodge the plumes.
Then we get to the final boss in Prae, and the two WHMs decided that they'd solve the debate and took enmity off the tanks and kept it. While everyone is going full throttle. At that point, the only reason one WHM was winning the enmity race was because towards the end the other Shrouded a Cure. It was hilarious at the end to find the tanks seemed to either find it frustrating, or enjoyable.
You can always tell the players who have never touched other classes. As a player who actively plays as a tank and healer, I see from both sides what happens, so I can adjust accordingly when needed.
I played Marauder & Conjurer up to 25 at the same time and I think it helped me gain perspective on how to behave in dungeons. Playing as a healer gives a tank a hint on how much mana heals and esunas cost, the potency of the spells and so on... Likewise playing on a tank gives you perspective on how effective tanks hold enmity (and more importantly initialize enmity).
Or I'm just a natural talent.
