    also i have the appearance data, because it lets me load that if i make a new character, is there a reason its just loading the skins and not the actual character? maybe i need to change folder locations of old data? im trying to think of everything.

    Yeah, some time before beta 4 is when Legacy characters are supposed to transfer. You can still do it now however, just open a ticket and let support handle it. Also appearance data is just that, appearance, not character data.
