Error 30002 Needs to be fixed....

How is anyone supposed to enjoy new content put out by development if we can't even connect to the server properly after getting in-game. I do not understand why the development team is not taking this error seriously enough to fix it. I for one cannot enjoy the new content because I directly R0 almost always after I connect in-game. I see this most frequently during Japan prime time.

I want to know what Error 30002 is since the development team has done nothing about it. (You) The Development team needs to go back and look what Error 30002 is because we do not know anything else besides getting a bunch of jumbled numbers that mean nothing. You wrote the code, and wrote what the error was down somewhere with the rest of all the ridiculous errors that people have. Some of them have been solved, but it seems you are holding out on what error 30002 is because either:

A - You know what the error is and it is game breaking.

    or

B - You are legitimately kicking people from the server when it is overcrowded and it cannot handle anymore players.

    Prove me wrong SE!

If you want to try and help people resolve the issue you could try fixing the issue that a large amount of people get instead of fobbing them off with some trouble shooting that doesn't work

    Dear Enagemy,

Everything asked to do in the support forums and knowledge base through troubleshooting does not work. I have already tried everything; otherwise I would not be making this thread. I would really appreciate a more well thought out response rather than a copy and pasted response that I have seen more than once.

When the development team (I.E. Naoki Yoshida, or someone with a capable brain; not the support reps that did not design the game) come up with a real answer, please post it here.

It would really be nice to hear from one of the developers. Unless they are all on vacation, I would hope someone could give the answer to my question. What is Error 30002 and what is being done to fix it?

    Thanks.

I get the same error generally on two different occasions, both of which are definitely SE's fault.

The first instance is, as with others, when I try to view a linkshell with large amounts of members and as the list is attempting to load I'm booted from the game, the 30002 error occurs when I attempt to log on.

The second instance is more vague and just appears to be a connection loss however it results in the same error when attempting to log on of 30002.

Now I know in FFXI that when you were booted from the server for whatever the reason was an error would come up if you attempted to log on too quickly, however the error was a little more detailed and actually TOLD you that your character was still logged on.

I did manage to get lucky and disconnect near my husband who was watching my character and the lag between my connection dropping off and me re-loading the game, and when my character actually disappeared from his screen was quite large. That said, if it is an error to due with that then why not just put that on the error tag?

Also, upon one of these occasions, I tried logging in right after with a second character which I was able to do with no problem at all. That also says to me that the error possibly has to do with the "character hangup" as I like to call it.

This is definitely not a connection issue, I have troubleshooted everything and my local ISP knows me by first time based on the number of techs that have come out to visit my house when I told them there was something wrong and it turned out they had a part going bad and fixed it and thus so did my internet.

So please, Development Team, Techs, whoever it may be, don't brush us off. I know the vast majority of complaints you here are probably crap and based on simple user errors however this one I don't think is, and neither does the large portion of the community it's effecting.

i havent gotten this error in a long time the game throws around a lot of packets you seem as though you know about pc workings so u should know to forward your router and set your firewall to allow the game also need have it allow your ati or nvidia software to allow as well also if pluged into your modem they get chocked out by the game easily as well as low end or old routers i use a smoothwall set up myself all you need old pc and some nic cards and your set to go, to set it all up takes some time and you need know a little about networking. but it will make your whole network faster. and never hurt to have another firewall i beat every one ON load in L4D2 it great set up

not be mean but this isnt very helpful with this error

    also this statement on there
Connect your PC directly to the modem
In order to isolate the possible causes of your issue, try connecting your cable modem directly to your PC, without use of a router or hub, and see if the issue persists.
because this is why i was getting this error before because the cheap modems that most isp give us cant Handel the game they chock out

also need put forwarding info on there as well telling them that older routers have prob with the game

Ive done all of that already, I have been trying to get SE to tell me what the error actually is, and so far they have faltered in doing so. Still waiting for a response.

And yes, the info in that post in the knowledge base needs updating.
