    Small quality of life fix...

Don't know if this has been commented on before but I believe that when crafting, abilities that do not have a chance to fail(i.e. Master's Mend, Tricks of the Trade, etc) should not consume charges of abilities like Steady Hand. Just a small change that could ease small frustrations.

I think It's perfectly fine right now. Crafting isn't supposed to be too easy.

While it may seem like a small fix this would require a re-balance on many of the skills that have charges. Currently you need to find a good rotation that plays well with the buffs you have, learning to use the skills at the right time or right order is part of it.

Crafting is already easy as it is. Don't need to make it any easier. Otherwise every "Joe" would do it

I'm a crafter Jim, not a Warrior! I don't want to fight as a Warrior just to be able to craft!

Meh, didn't say I found the crafting difficult, in fact I find it the most entertaining crafting system in any MMO Ive played, and that's a lot of MMOs. Just thought to minimize annoyances and maximize the fun, but I can see the points you've all made are valid ones.

Ok, how about this, if you cancel your synth before taking any steps, you should receive all ingredients back?

It's already like this right now actually. But if you take any steps, you auto fail when you cancel. Because the materials are "wrecked" at that point.

Thats strange, because earlier today I canceled a synth immediately after starting it, not taking any steps and it ate my mats...

Same here I've cancelled without taking any steps before and didn't get my mats back.

Odd...when I did that, I got my materials back. I just double checked right now and I retained all my materials. Did you guys use any skill at all before cancelling? Using a skill counts as a step.
