It's a pity no one in the dev team (or yoshi-p) have ever talked about this issue so long...
I hope they will acknowledge this issue in the next producer live letter in October.

If they don't, the discrepancy with the players that don't have lag issue will be to large, and it won't be playable again (several mounths later)

There is a lot of improvement to be made.

Most noteably is the return of filters in chat, FC window, search, and auction house. No one knows why this was removed other than to annoy players and give SE something to easily improve on. Also the linking of items in chat needs to be back.

That alone would bring back a lot of people. The game is amazing but simple things like that that are in every other game for 10 years missing is a problem.
