What gives you the right (Looking for DEV response)

So i logout every night in a town to earn rested exp, im level 50 so i don't need it on anything but my gathering class since im currently leveling it up. I log in and have tons of rested exp, i queue for a dungeon (Wait upto 20-30 mins) and gather while im doing so but you take my rested exp off me because i had to change class to do this????


Even if i build up the rested exp on my gathering class i still lose it. This is in no way fair for those who have work (or even those who don't) and limited time to play, I don't understand how you think this is ok to do.

Please fix asap. If you add content before this is fixed im done

I have work, and not much playtime, still I'm leveling fast enough? Why the stress? Are you in a hurry? The game isn't going anywhere.

What? What are you talking about exactly? I do the exact same thing and my rested exp remains until I use it up.

Edit: Yeah, better said as Tareel said, you ARE using it while you gather. Rested exp isn't literally a new bar of exp, it just shows you how much will it give you a bonus for.

Your rest xp is being consumed while you gather, you aren't loosing it.

Just a hint, you can queue for a dungeon without changing your job.

I'm a little confused as to what you think is happening here. They don't take your rested bonus off you. If you switch to a level 50 job to do a dungeon, the bonus disappears as you can't gain any more XP on that job/class. Switch back to a class that isn't 50 - DoW, DoM, DoL, DoH, it doesn't matter - and your bonus will magically return. Nor do you need to log out on a non-50 class to get it; you get it regardless.

If it is somehow disappearing, then it is a bug and you should report it in the bug forum

maybe you shouldn't farm rested on your max level character to use on your low level characters, OP.

And if you do leave because of something so trivial, then good luck to you. one less wannabe clogging the server...

Yeah how bonus xp works is a bit confusing. Its basically based on the level, not the amount. So if you have 1.5 levels of bonus xp, and you are on a level 47 character, that might a few hundred thousand bonus xp that would take you hours to burn through. If you swap to a level 1 botanist, you still have 1.5 levels of bonus xp, but it is only a thousand or so bonus xp. So you harvest for a few minutes, and get to level 4 almost immediately. Your bonus xp is burned through and gone.

Thats why when you switched back to your high level character it looked like it was just 'erased'.

Kinda' annoying, basically forces you to not play low level classes when you have rest xp to burn through, best way to avoid is either use up bonus xp before swapping, or try to get some alt classes to at least 20 or so, that way when you swap over while waiting on queue you don't burn through the bonus levels quite so fast.

You guys are not understanding me, Ok i logout on any class it doesn't matter, DOH DOL DOM DOW, any of the 4 all work the same, i log in, i queue up on my level 50 for a dungeon then switch to my Botanist, the rested exp will be there if i built it up on a gathering class or not but then i switch to DOM when dungeon pops and BAM exp is gone.

Once dungeon starts the rested exp vanishes, once i switch back to gathering job after a dungeon the rested exp is still gone, i have tried it multiple ways.

Im also not alone my entire group has the same issue, It was also there on the old JP server we moved from

Dungeons are also not the cause of this, If i built up the rested exp on DOL and switch to DOM and go hit 1 enemy in the world it vanishes and never comes back, im talking about almost a full rested bar too since i log out for very long periods of time.

Im not farming anything, rested exp is there to be earned, there is a reason its in the game

I don't want to come across in a bad way here but to answer your question... What gives you the right.

It is their game they can do what they want with it. If they so wished they could ban you for no reason, take you character naked into any town they liked and make all the mobs in the game do a merry dance round you.

People need to understand that you are basically renting the game. Getting a copy of the game doesn't now make you the new owner who can throw up their hands in rage at anything you don't like.
