But do you really think these type of players care about the ToS. They really dont, they will either move on to another game or buy a new account, these parasites are always going to be a part of gaming communities. I was just answering to OP questiom of why some people are so mean or cruel.

I don't know about that, my previous MMORPG; DDO didn't have toxic players in the least. The whole community was kind and supportive to new players and the generally unskilled casuals. Not once in 4 years of play did I ever run into an elitist like I have in FFXIV. Oddly enough, when I first played FFXIV v.1 the community was very different. It has completely flip flopped from what it once was. But, hopefully some more folks will realize that they are dealing with other human beings when they decide to be hateful. Also btw Kazaran, i thoroughly enjoyed your post. All hate gamers should read your post as a general guideline.

XI was the same way really. There were some douches here and there as there will always be but they weren't nearly as widespread as they seem to be here. I'm hoping these are just the hoppers that will be gone when the next MMO launches.

Same goes for LotRO. Turbine do a good job in harvesting a positive community, even when they have massive issues.

Yea, DDO and LOTR had their share of Problems but nothing ever to do with the community. I always remember my guild and I always dogging on Turbine for not fixing bugs quickly enough. But sadly SE can only do so much about a bunch of nasty people, lol.

Yes, it's a video game. However, when you play Mario, do you just *not* jump to have more fun? Is it *fun* to lose to a boss fight 70+ times in a row? Is it *enjoyable* losing to the same exact thing over and over?

FFXIV Translation to failing to dodge titan plumes:

What people fail to understand is how their attitude changes in an online game compared to a single player game.

You SHOULD feel responsibility for playing well when 7 other people are affected by your actions. If you are *really* that selfish, you shouldn't be playing online games. It's *rude* to not try when others are trying. It's *rude* to assume you don't need to help others.

It's a game. With other people. When you lose, they lose. Stop making excuses.
