    Suggestion/Idea: Job Specific Eidolons

    So,

    I was a little disappointed when I found out Limit Breaks weren't ultra cool class specific abilities, it was something that excited me to absolute nerdly proportions to finally be a real FF hero with powers similar to Cloud Strife or Cid Highwind etc.

    I however understand and respect SE's decision to make it role-based. In light of this I still think it would be neat to see something Job Specific but themed off of classic FF elements.

    Also! To respect Summoner Job, I would say at an expanded level they'd get a self cast that would reset the Cooldown of their personal Eidolon or perhaps even a "Soul Resonance" thing where they could set a toggle on 1 player and borrow their Eidolon, on it's own 2 HR cooldown? Just thoughts.

    Job Specific Eidolons: Powerful spirits (Not Primals!) called with the power of the Mother to aid the Warriors of Light in their time of dire need.

    (These would appear, cast a spell or ability and vanish leaving behind certain effects depending on Job, they would be used similar to Limit Breaks but built individually as battle progresses and have a 2 HR+ cooldown)

    Paladin: Alexander - AOE Damage Absorption 15 Sec / Determ debuff to enemies - 2 Min

    Dark Knight: Zalera/Adramalech - Heavy Single Target Damage - AOE Debuff / Enemies take 40% Extra Damage from all incoming attacks - 15 Sec

    Scholar: Titania AOE Buff - All Status Increase by 10% 15 Sec / AOE Heal Over Time 40 Sec

    White Mage: Unicorn/Kirin- AOE Full Heal/Def Buff - 2 Min

    Black Mage: Tritoch - Heavy Elemental AOE Damage (Fire/Ice/Thunder) - Bind 15 Sec

    Summoner: Anima or Madeen - Heavy AOE DOT 1 Min / Disease/Heavy/Pacification etc applied as well 15 Sec

    Monk: Asura - AOE Attack Speed / Abil and Spell Speed Increase / Movement Speed Increase all 35% - 15 Sec

    Warrior: Ragnarok (in Axe Form) - AOE Damage / Heavy Determination Buff - 40 Sec

    Dragoon - Dragon - Small Radius AOE Damage/ Heavy Single Target Damage / Enemies effected have 25% Defense Debuff for 45 Sec

    Bard: Siren - AOE Attack Speed Debuff 40% to enemies 15 Sec - Grants Infinite TP/MP to party for 15 Sec.

    Imagine Tritoch entering the field in the following sequence

    BLM Summons Tritoch!

    Massive glacial shard lands in the target radius, shattering sending ice every which direction. Creature emerges from the dust of the shard, roars and strikes the earth sending fire out every which direction. Creature rises in aetherial resonance and vanishes in an orb of aetheric force, from it violent sparks of lightning lash out to enemies at climax.

    Or

    PLD Summons Alexander!


    Paladin puts broad end of sword to head and mutters. The sky turns white in a flash and a massive structure falls to the field. Aetheric particles, resembling the wings of an Angel rise from the structure and a powerful light empowers the Warriors of Light who behold it, and strikes awe into their enemies, and fear into the servants of Zodiark. At climax, Alexander begins to vanish with the emboldening echo of a war horn heralding the party's impending victory.

    DRG calls Dragon to the field!

    Dragoon whirls spear, holding it under his/her right arm and hunches down, then rising to leap with a whisk of air/dust beneath heel. Sky darkens, and a terrifying roar lets out, soon the sky gives way to the shape of a massive wingspan and the Dragoon descends, lit with the fire of the Dragon Spirit, as the Dragoon collides with his foe spear held clenched in gauntlets, the aetheric presence of a Dragon manifests, striking claws to the earth in a quake, and with another horrifying roar aetheric fire besets all foes before it (in a cone). The Dragoon flips backward amidst this, and brings Spear back to forefront stance (standard stance) Dragon then dissipates in a misted silhouette around the Dragoon.

    I like it.
    One of the things I didn't like about the game, and the SMN class in particular, is the absence of the classic cool FF summons.
