    On crafting and resource theft.

Later levels of crafting require hunting mobs. And when mobs are only available on precious few areas, it becomes a real problem when they're actively pulled by a tank to prevent others from claiming items from them. And worse, I have to play this dirty game to progress on weaving.

I hate cheating. And to me, stealing mobs in this way is little better than botting.

You can imagine how much I loathe myself for this...

My solutions are either allowing players who attack a claimed enemy a chance to get the item, or a chance to trigger individual mobs in the same manner as one can harvest an individual mature tree in the gathering classes, or the same way as quests do so.

Preferably the latter. It's less of an arms race.

Or make it so you can only have 1 claimed mob at a time, if you attack another mob the mob you're currently attacking unclaims. Can't claim more than 1 mob at a time then so everyone gets a share.

Im about 99% sure that anyone who does at least 30% of the damage on the mob can receive a drop from said mob.

I dunno about that. I haven't had that kind of luck.

A tank is a better mat farmer than your Acn? How's that? Even if they do grab one, you should be able to out damage them fairly quickly unless they're lvl 50, even then they don't have the spammable instant skills you've got.

    Seriously.
Instant dot and a tank can farm better than you?

Not sure what the percentage is -- but this is true, in my experience. Also, there is nothing wrong with farming mobs, so not sure how you can claim this is cheating. Hopefully SE does add additional locations or mobs that these crafting materials can be obtained from but until then you will have to do your best to compete. O

Well, what I do is stock up on Aether Flow, Bio and Virus since they don't share global cooldown, then have Topaz distract the mobs I tagged.

And level 50 tanks outdamage my ACN and have no cast time. So.

You will only get XP and credit towards hunting log, quests, etc. (if applicable) when you do 30% damage to the target.

Now onto the main topic; I see no problem with this. It is absolutely in no way whatsoever comparable to botting. It is also not cheating or "stealing", as you put it. They are not breaking any code or exploiting a design flaw, nor are they using 3rd party software. A tank pulling several mobs at a time is simply using the strengths of their job to farm efficiently. Not to mention that this method is readily available to literally every single player.

I know. But it's still competing against another person. If you get your mats, it means someone else doesn't. I don't like this notion---I want everyone to have a fair shot at it, not just me or whoever beats me or whoever beats them.

    It's also destroying server balance.
