Just a quick idea to give crafters more to do:

Could be implemented in housing, eventually (as in, you could only try this if you have a special workplace).

1. Have tons of materials that 'fit' with each other or not (for modelling issues) (as in here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compone...edieval_armour)
2. Materials that fit with each other can get bonuses
3. Would help with vanity stuff: you can have some different, something made especially for your play-style, and allows for more experimental and theory crafting (you could make a cool-armor or weapon that is useless)
4. In line with 3), you can have some sort of job 'specialties': for example, a tank's armor built around evasion bonuses. Again, this would allow more experimentation, and I think it would be interesting to try different dungeons with different stuff.
(5. FCs could have their own unique 'armor style'.)
