The "transparent" map has no focus

Or at lest allow to close it with "cancel" (circle) on the PS3 controller. I know this may "work as designed", but in such case I'd ask to change the paradigm. I find it honestly quite annoying as it works now, I find myself pressing square too many times just to get a rid of the map also because I never know in which state it is so I have to press square and square again.
