i think the best change for make it... less impacted by the lag is to increase cast time of weigt of earth of 1 second, what do you think?

Which makes the attack a joke for those without lag. The lag's been getting easier as of late, I only got hit by lagged plumes a few times. Those with throttled connections are still having lag problems, though. :/

Sadly, even if lag is gone, some people just can't dodge at all.

I beat it after about 2-3 hours of trying, in total, spanning two days. Once you learn the rotation, it all comes down to those small lag spikes and how well others do.

Personally I generally have about (checked via cmd~) 300ms-600ms (NZ to JP server) ping in this fight (depending on time of night I'm playing), which makes it annoying but once you know the attack rotations it is easy to dodge (just have to move before the attacks even appear/start casting). The thing which ruins the fight for me is having lag spikes, where nothing will move for anywhere from 2-25 seconds (and sometimes he becomes invisible after jumping, or rock bombs don't appear...? very rarely though), and then I just end up dead. The fight itself I feel is perfectly tuned and a good final step for getting relic (getting relic isn't meant to be a cake walk), however the lag (and primarily the spikes of lag) makes the fight more awkward and frustrating than it was designed to be in my opinion. I went about 1/20 or so when doing this for my bard relic, and am currently 0/6 for my whm relic.
