I personally think they shouldn't be DPS. If SE were to entice people to play healers, they need to introduce more healing classes with interesting mechanics. I wouldn't mind Geomancers to be a Chloromancer-esque (rift) type of healer, one that heals from damaging enemies but can still burst heal to keep people alive.
