    But you said yourself that in the <5 second scenario, Heavy beats both of them, at 300 potency. Remember that if they aren't getting a second tick in, it's less potency than Heavy for more TP cost. It's only when you're sure there are 2 ticks left that you should even be looking to decide which one to use first.

    Yes this is true, but I'm not sure what you're arguing for here.

    It doesn't matter if we set it to 5 seconds, or 12 seconds, 100 seconds, or anything in between, because really the only thing to compare is: which attack gets an extra tick.

    We could easily have the scenario be 2 ticks/1 tick, or 3 ticks/2 ticks, or what have you, you still will windbite first.

    And since Windbite has 10 more potency per tick than Venomous, you always windbite first, unless you don't have time to use both, in which case skip both and use HS/SS instead.

    Not quite.

    At 2/1 tick, you would Venomous Bite for 170, then realize that your Windbiter would only be 105 and it's better to Heavy. You wouldn't Windbiter->Venomous, because that loses to 2x Heavy

    V->H = 170+150 = 320
    W->H = 150+150 = 300
    H->H = 150+150 = 300
    W->V = 150+135 = 285
    V->W = 170+105 = 275

    At 3/2 tick, Windbiter edges out Venomous.

    W->V->H = 195+170+150 = 515
    V->H->H = 205+150+150 = 505
    V->W->H = 205+150+150 = 505
    W->H->H = 195+150+150 = 495
    H->H->H = 150+150+150 = 450

    Of course, this all assumes that you can forecast when the enemy will die with that much precision. There's a reason I usually stick to W->V, even though I know that there are cases where Venomous should be priority.
