back in the day we had these things called linkshells and ppl with the same intrest would gather together for a common goal
So we didnt have to deal with "tools" and we could get the job done asap. True story.

Set small goals for yourself. Stop the mindset of "I need 29 more CM runs to be fully geared" and try to think of "I just need 3 more CM runs for my (insert next piece of gear)". You'll find it much less mentally exhausting when you set incremental goals for yourself.
I remember when we had more than 2 dungeons to grind for endgame gear....
I usually wait for most the ls to get on so it's a breeze. When all else fails? Beer.Farm tomes without going insane that is.
CM runs: 90% either people trolling for laughs or noobs who aggro every trash pack and make the instance take 4x longer other than that completely face-roll you can train a gorilla to complete this instance
AK runs: slow boring repetitive again full of tools
How do people run these places 60+ times to get geared up without going insane?
It would be nice to get some variety. Also CM should not be the prime farming spot once you are capped. It's 8 man story place which is extremely annoying to run multiple times.
Well, you have to figure. Look at the entire game....It's huge. And realize that most of that content is only seen by your character once or twice over it's whole life for only a few minutes. The last, let's say, 10% of the game is "end game content" and that's where you are sitting.
Now I get that the grindy aspect isn't really fun. but until they start designing content that doesn't get "Outleveled" you're going to end up with it. But even when they do people will complain that they are reusing content. In the end, it really comes down to this.....
If one doesn't WANT to do something, they don't HAVE to do it. But one can't HAVE it if they aren't willing to PAY for it.
When you choose to skip trash, you should accept the risk that someone may agro it. If you don't like people accidentally pulling trash, which happens from time to time and i'm sure its not intentional, then just pull it kill it and move on. No one will agro it then.
Also, killing just the trash that tends to get accidentally pulled doesn't make the instance last 4x longer, but more like 5 minutes, if that.
Ya man I agree I am easy going if someone aggros trash I just kill it.....no big deal.
However what you are forgetting is there is always the 1 tool or handful of tools who literally freak out and go ballistic over this. (Have you ever used DF to run CM?) They should rename it troll finder or tool finder.....no joke lol.
So ya what happens is argument commences, group slows down, worst case scenario is someone pulls a hissy fit and either starts training the group or 1-2 go AFK on purpose to grief people.
This is why I have issue with the main farming spot being an 8 man story mode dungeon where the elitists and 1st timers are mixed. The 1st timers have no clue what to do and want to go slowly. The elitists want to skip every trash possible, skip the cutscenes. And me I am caught in the middle of the two and it is not pretty most of the time. Having more 4 player dungeons for farming to mix it up and not part of the story quest would be much better.
Wasnt it mentioned somewhere that we are getting new hard mode dungeons "soon"? I feel like that will alleviate some of the grindy feel while the hardcore olayers will find the best time/tomestones dingeon and run that. The rest of us will have some variety to change the grind somewhat
I've mostly been doing runs only in my FC or LS's local to my server. I don't really do Prae or CM much - I just kinda stick to AK.
