New Player help.

(Really noob here)

So I'm really knew, started this game about a day ago but I can't seem to understand it all that well.

The mapping for me blows me off completely.
I keep getting lost and it's not the kind of lost that only takes 5 minutes, I've been getting lost for at least 15-30 minutes just finding the next step/map I need to go to and I really need some help here :/ I'm not sure if someone's willing to help me out here honestly.

I have skype and all that but I just really need help In-game. No one's really explained it to me all that well.

Being level 3, as your data suggests, means you probably haven't left town yet. If you have, hit the Return key and go back to town. Personally, I find Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah to be very confusing, as well. If you're on a PC, the map key is M, and on PS3, I believe it is Square. You can zoom in and out on your maps to get a better grasp of where you're at. Use the mouse wheel while the map is selected on PC, or I think it's L1 + right thumbstick to do it on PS3 while the map is selected.

Other than that, the towns actually do have some signs scattered about to give you an idea of where you're at. They can be nominally helpful in determining where you're going. Realistically, you can get to level 5+ just doing in-town quests, and I would stick to that until you get a little more comfortable with the area. Best of luck!

I'll be able to help you on what ever you need via these forums also am willing to jump on a voip and guide you where needed I would say I could help you in game but from your stats I see you are on a different world (server) than I am on I am on the odin server if you would like to make a character there I could help in game.

I am also fairly new to game but am not new to the mmo scene so things I take for granted from playing other games of this type have helped me get through this game so far and google is your best friend ^^.

The best thing you can do is go through the whole town with your map called up, and register all the aither points or however you spell them. They are the little blue diamonds on your map. They teleport you for free to anywhere you want to go. And once you get them all, it lets you teleport to outside the town as well. It is very common at least it was for me to get totally lost at first. After you go to the places enough through your quests, you will learn how to get around town better and better every time.

Also, if you have a quest, bring up your quest log and hit the Map button. It will show you where you need to go in order to advance the quest.

I'd suggest keeping your map up while running around to start. I got lost a lot when I first started so you aren't alone.

Also while traveling the world you can turn on transparency for the map. Usually to travel i leave the map open to see where to go

you're an arcanist. Lomisa city is quiet a hard map to explore.
