Generally speaking, the people that can and have done the fight will do so with their FC mates. There isn't this large benevolent group of solo players that queue into Duty Finder regularly to do Titan HM, so frankly you shouldn't be surprised at the amount of times you must fail in Duty Finder. The people looking for PUGs in Mor Dhona are obviously less organized and less experienced with MMOs. There are so many factors which make Titan HM impractical to complete in Duty Finder, including things like raid composition, gear, lag, language. All these factors force organized players to band together, which leaves the public pool of players at an even lower average skill/gear level.

Also, consider farming CM for Tomestone mats to sell if you are looking to buy, but cannot afford a Titan HM run. You can also just try harder to make friends who have the capabilities you're looking for instead of rolling the dice in Duty Finder where people have no loyalties whatsoever.

It's SO dumb, pretty much titan HM is a *raid* for only the top end FC. Don't have a good top end FC. good luck getting your relic.

Just because something is in the DF doesn't mean that it should be done that way. If you don't have a FC by now that can help you out you should start looking. Hell, even an LS where you just do Titan shiz all day would be better than relying on DF.

I do have a FC sir, but this FC doesn't have alot of 50s, got at least 3 and that's it outta the 6. They Craft and RP all day then wanting to do end game. SO pretty much again, find a end game FC or you are outta luck

And what is wrong with that? Relics are exactly what they're called, RELICS! You don't get the be a casual player and have the best gear in the game.

I'm not saying Titan is easy, and I know from personal experience just how frustrating it is to fail over and over. But it SHOULD be a plateau for a lot of "casual" players.

If you want relic weapons, then you better be prepared to do what needs to be done to earn them.

Regardless of if YOU are geared and know the fight, part of what makes this encounter so hard is that it requires 8 people to not mess up for 10~min. The chances of that happening in a Duty Finder pug are almost 0.

Titan is currently the plateau fight that separates a "casual" player from a "dedicated" player. Note I'm using the word dedicated, and not hardcore, because I believe the two are separate. The plateau between "dedicated" and "hardcore" is, IMO, Turn 2 of the Binding Coil, at the moment. As a result of this, I see nothing wrong with Titan being a hard fight, because what's the point of the Relic weapons if people get them for free?

As a plateau, Titan will weed out two categories of players (primarily): people who can't learn to avoid predictable mechanics on a fixed rotation (everything Titan does, no exceptions, can be predicted several moves in advance, so this applies to healers who need to pre-heal Tumults, everyone who needs to avoid Bombs, Weights and Landslides, and tanks who need to cycle cooldowns for Mountain Buster), and people who can't put minimal effort into their gear (AK gear w/ primal weapon & a little bit of DL, at least).

Turn 2, as a plateau, further weeds out players who can't follow instructions (the Allagan Rot is basically an execution check; everyone is allowed to mess up a couple of times, after all we're human, but it WILL weed out people who mess up all the time and can't follow instructions like passing the rot around), players who can't react to mechanics (silence High Voltage), healers who can't keep track of two tanks, tanks who can't work together (taunt swapping, positioning), and whoever slipped past Titan who still can't dodge big red circles of death.

One could argue that Turn 4 is another plateau, because it's a hard DPS check; either your DPS can churn out a minimum number, either you wipe on the waves.

Did you hear what you just said, by you saying that "You don't get the be a casual player and have the best gear in the game" you are saying anyone using duty finder is screwed over cause they are at a disadvantaged with two tanks instead of one. I don't think Dev's want that elitism

Yes, you are at a disadvantage with 2 tanks. The fight was DESIGNED for 1 tank, the Duty Finder was a tool added for casual players to be matched up in raid content.

If anything, look at the Duty Finder as an introduction to raiding, a taste of it. Those that want a richer experience, will seek out like-minded individuals on their own server.

I just got it finished, a guild called blacklisted on my server downed it for me. I'm still crying right now as I typed this. They were a god send, no other FC would help and some want you to pay for it, but they did it for free for me. I know crying over a video game is lame but really, with two weeks of trying to get this, anyone would cry.
