I was banned from the forum for a few hours, and after that my original post was deleted (a reply to Sorry SE, but endgame won't work if you don't fix something.
I will try to be as politically correct in here, in order to avoid having this removed.
I posted this, weeks ago:
[GAMEBREAKING] Ability/moving objects delay and unresponsiveness (affects everybody)
It was locked and moved to the Accepted bugs forums, however a lot of effort and attention by the community and the post was, we believe, ignored.
More posts continued spawning in EVERY forum, so I decided to make a new one, asking for a status of things so that we could stop working on trying to get more proof and so that people could stop continuously the same issue:
SERVER LAG - Player complaints compilation (Demanding a specific answer)
This one also got attention from the community, and in the end an answer, that clearly showed the moderator didn't read the issue, and pointed us to post into the Website suggestions & feedback forum.
I went to this forum (lol), and well, there were already some posts there, so I decided to give it up.
At the same time, a post in the General chat was receiving much more attention than the previous two:
Sorry SE, but endgame won't work if you don't fix something.. For anyone who hasn't read this post, it talks about the issues with server lag in-game, not really about endgame at all.
This post was LOCKED with a note that said that they understand that end-game is important for us, pointing us to post in the Gameplay forum.
Complaints rose, and the following day the moderating team, accepting their mistake of prematurely closing a 70 pages thread, re-opened it apologising, and saying that they "are happy to reopen this thread to let us continue with our end-game discussions", pointing us again to the Gameplay section.
I, though I couldn't feel more indignation when I read that, couldn't help but laugh out loud when I read this, so I proceeded with posting "Joke of the week." while quoting the moderator's answer.
Then I got banned, and the post has been permanently deleted.
After explaining all these proceedings, I'd like to point out my frustration (which I believe is partially shared with the community), indignation, and conclusions to all the proceedings of the moderating team:
- I don't believe my post was offensive enough to grant a ban or get deleted (however, if it really fit the offensive thresholds, I'd like you to follow reading)
- If someone should feel offended, that would be me (or us), for after posts that took an enormous amount of effort and community contribution, posts that are the CORE of this forum and probably the #1 concern (even if it was #5 it should get the desired attention) have been ignored
- If you really find my comment offensive in the first place, this brings me to believe you accept you screwed up again, yet there is no answer to the post once again
- The community has posted and read through pages, trying to help make this game better (fix it, actually), and are contributing to something that is not their responsibility, whilst you are failing to do what you are supposed to do: moderate if you're a moderator, and transmit and filter information and specially make us feel listened to if you're a community manager (and of course, promote a friendly atmosphere)
- If there is something any moderator or community manager should do, is read the posts of the community. You are lazy to read 70 pages? Well, you could at least have read the first one (not just the tittle and get confused by it), before screwing up twice in the very same post where people was irritated to begin with.
I believe this is website feedback, I'm sorry if I failed to find the place for this post yet again, next is customer support I assume.
Thanks for your time
