Your mistake is having the odd idea that the two are mutually exclusive. I play final fantasy when I get home from work, and lo and behold the sun has set. I spent last weekend visiting the zoo, washing my car, and getting drunk at an irish pub.

What's yours, posting in a mmorpg forum the dangers of mmorpgs ? People who play it love it, and telling they're potential social outcast don't help much.
Personally, the majority of people playing mmorpgs know when stop, going out with friends ecc. The exceptions are mostly people with pre-existent mental disorders, and an appeal from an unkown on internet will be just ignored

edit: and foremost, nobody take credit from an unkown on internet telling how they should live, for how much right he can have

Final Fantasy 14 is probably the easiest game to walk away from. There is no sense of urgency here. There is no endgame here. Now, if you were talking about 11 I could understand the addiction. I think most players on 14 do it because they are bored, like the game, like the social environment of the game. I really doubt anyone is going to be glued to 14 the entire summer as it is still fairly boring when compared to 11. It is nice that you added a website for addicts though.

FFXIV is the worst forum to post about gaming addiction. It is hard to get addicted to .. well nothing. Because that is pretty much what we have in the game, nothing and nothing to do. Go post that in WOW's forums.
