So do you prefer to be wireless or wired? Just wondering if anyone notices anymore lag than usual either way?

The reason people prefer wired is for stability. Wireless can be relatively lag-less, but it's not inherently stable either.
Ps3 here, I'm on a wired connection with ~90Mbps and don't really notice lag much... that being said I am in Canada but it's still 3840km to the servers. Only noticed a few lag spikes here and there in the last two or three days. If I speedtest my line on wifi it drops to about 60-70Mbps. I don't know what my ping time to the FFXIV servers are, wish we could check it on consoles. I would absolutely recommend a wired connection for a bandwidth heavy game like this.

Actually, it's not bandwidth heavy. The data usage, outside of patching, is rather small. Most MMOs are like this. You could play the game on low speed DSL, you'd have long patch times though.Ps3 here, I'm on a wired connection with ~90Mbps and don't really notice lag much... that being said I am in Canada but it's still 3840km to the servers. Had some lag while I was using wireless on PS3 and PC, no more lag now thanks to a 20m ethernet cable I bought.
