Suggestion: Hide own name.

Hey everyone, can you give me some more details about the suggestion? Is it that you simply want an option to "hide own character name"? What about the HP bar for your character? Would that be hidden along with it, or would it need to be a separate thing? Lemme know and I'll compile your thoughts for the dev. team!

I think as simple as hiding your name and HP bar above your head is what people want.

I mean, we all know our own name, we don't need to see it in the screen all the time. We have our own hp/mp/tp bar, no need to have another hp bar above our head as well.

Being able to toggle your own name on/off would be nice. Included in that would be any and all the icons that currently go with it. (Bazaar for example). I'd leave the HP bars alone as that IS helpful information. Our own character name really doesn't help us out with gameplay/strategy/etc...and well if we forget who we are, we have other issues :P

Personally Id love the option to remove my name, Icons, LS symbols.
I've got my HP bar at the bottom anyway so I've never used the other options around my character but i would think for those who do they would like to keep those and just remove the name.

Going with this idea:
- I also think the option to toggle other character and mob name/info off separately could be a good one, but to show all the info of a mob/person I have selected.
- Also the option to just show party/LS members name could be useful rather then everyone(with all the options available currently in the settings).
- And Finally A toggle to hiding other peoples Icons would be nice, I don't have the skills to fix anything and if i wanted to shop id be shopping.
I don't need to know people are selling things unless i want to buy something.
(though most probably wont like this option lol)

The more on-off options the better.
If you [/actionbar on/off] you are going to need 10x more macros.
Also dont make just the commands, make it part of the UI under the macros tab.
I also need recast times in the log and a toggle for that too.

you also should be able to move everything on the screen to make it look like ffxi if you wish.

UI scale is a big one I run this game at 1650x1050 and everything is so huge!
I should be able to see everything in my inv without scrolling.

I know there is an option to toggle names on/off but this hides all player names including your own. I would like to only hide my own name like you could in FF XI.

Maybe it's because i'm playing on a low resoultion but the names just seem really big and it's always there floating around in the middle of the screen. It's a little distracting and i don't need to be reminded of my own name, i'm not likely to forget.

If you can already do this i appologise, but i don't see a way to do it.

Sasly n high rrsolutions the names are HUGE!!! let us a bunch of option to remove names whit diferent configurations.

I.e: remove only my char name. This the first one and most important. But remove only mobs names (whit some kind of mark to know if it is engaged) etc etc

Can we have the option to turn "Targeting name = targeting the player/creature" off? The more zoomed out you get, the larger the name seems to become requiring you to adjust your camera in a way to make it so no names cover the creature so you can target it.

I play with keyboard only, and having /targetmode b on sometimes mixes up changing action bars with targeting, and it's just a HUGE mess. And with all these targeting modes I just don't see a point to it? Or has this been addressed and I've missed it?

For the "hide own character name", should be like this

One thing thou, we won't see our bazaar/repair/active LS crest,
mmmm, maybe.. display them somewhere else on the screen? at the same icon size....as... a movable.


And... for "own character" HP bar in "/hpbar all" command
maybe we can have an option to display everyone else's & monster's HP Bar but not ours ?
since we have the old UI customizable bar already.

Come on Square hiding weapons is useless, why cant you add hide name!?
