    Problem with screen size

So idk if this is an issue for a lot of people or if there is a setting I missed somewhere

So basically my screen is too large for my tv and the edges are cut. The things I notice are most of all the chat box, the bottom and left sides get cut off and I cant see some options. Also when there's a cutscene and I press O to skip I can barely see the options for skipping since they are cut off in the bottom right corner. Also when I'm choosing my character the info about him on the left and the server stuff on the right are cut off.

Most things I was able to adjust with the HUD layout setting but the stuff I mentioned above cant be moved.

I've looked through all my setting on my tv in the menu, I've changed my tv and hdmi outputs on my ps3 and there are really no options to change the whole screen size in game. Nothing seems to work

Is this something a lot of people are experiencing because I feel like if it was I would've seen it somewhere on the boards by now.

Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks

What you describe is definitely an issue for me, as well. No screen settings on the PS3, in the game or on my TV have been able to fix it. I've learned to just deal with is, as it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme. It is a little annoying at times, though. I'm curious to read others' responses.

This is an issue with your TV settings. By default overscan is on for most TVs and needs to be turned off. This causes the edges around the picture to be cut off and appear small. Since how you turn this off differs for each brand and model TV you will need to post all that information here for people to help you. Or find a guide online that tells you where to find this setting.

The is no way to fix this in game as the devs have commented this is fixed by adjusting the TV settings.

So youre saying the devs have commented on this so it must be an issue for a larger number of players?

And yeah i dont really see any settings on my tv that say "overscan" and im not really sure how to accurately describe my tv settings through a forum post so idk if anyone can help me. I guess ill look online for my tv settings

If anyone has a Vizio and fixed this problem please help!

You can move the chat window: when you are in mouse mode hold both L2 & R2 to move it the window.

You can only move the widgets manually.
Another guy on this forum had a Vizio and found no solution.

They commented on this during beta simply to say it's an issue with the TV settings. Unfortunately, not all TVs allow overscan to be turned off. However, the Vizio does and this is a better adjustment than if the game compensated for the television settings since it would make the picture fishbowl.

On the Vizio they don't call it overscan. You'll adjust your screen aspect ratio to "wide". This will turn off overscan and make your games fit better on the screen.

It's a tv setting, not a game setting. SE made it to fit a 1920x1080 ratio and it does, but your tv is not displaying that full ration, because it's overscanning.

I had this problem on multiple flatscreen 720p televisions. No setting on the TVs nor the PS3 changed anything. Bought a newer, larger TV that supports 1080p resolution, and the problem went away. The PS3 version simply does not display correctly at 720p resolution.

yeah Ive seen someone else say this too but there is no place in my tv menu where anything says "wide"... I mean maybe its the newer models because I bought this tv something like 7 years ago :-/... Im guess Im just going to assume its because my tv is old and there is going to be no way to fix this. Guess I can look forward to this tv dying sometime so I have to buy a new one
