Yea, I made over 200k just buying Fleece. I can't move fast enough to get fleece against the fast botters, so now I buy fleece when the price is low and sell it when their accounts are banned at a higher price

Yeah I'm not complaining. I'm asking if I can do stuff like the above. Basically there's a crap ton of shards being sold on the AH at low prices, I have enough money to invest in it and sell at higher prices. Just worried about the account being a RMT and me getting banned for buying 200K worth of shards in one go.

if you sell a LOT, and always are the main seller, then youre controlling the market. Buying all items and setting your own price is more of a highrisk trade, as prices will restabilize after a few hours.

Maybe everyone is undercutting each other? I know when I had 500 fleece, I was undercut to 250 gil. So I sold it at 248 gil because I was afraid the Fleece market collapsed. Someone bought me out and now Fleece goes for 600 gil. Sometime you win, sometime you lose when you speculate in the Fleece Market.

That is called a "FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM". The market it open to all and if someone tries to corner the market like that someone will always come up behind them like me and undercut the hell out of them and they will not sell their crap unless there is no one else selling it and people are desperate. This will only help them short term if players are not patient.

I wouldn't worry too much about it just be mindful not to buy fleece from someone who is selling 20 stacks of 99 at a time chances are they come from Botts and the money is for RMTs

Yeah...I would just do like the OP said...look at the name of the seller and if it looks "funny" then I would not chance it...RMT's always have some funky name with some funky spelling of it...(looking at my blacklist right now) LOL
If you make an honest mistake they should not bother you though because we really shouldn't have to do a background check to by something off the AH...just common sense.

Damn....the opportunity is so juicy though. 9k worth of shards for -20 gil of the usual market price, -40 if they are in demand....so much profit for such little effort, but guess it's not worth the banhammer.

If you are buying something off the market and not doing anything illegal like botting or selling gil they are not going to do anything to you... There is no concern on who is selling the product as long as you are legit and can prove your gil... They are banning accounts that are getting high gil transfers and no proof of funds... They are not watching the market and hitting normal people trying to get a deal at the AH
