Who wants quests for new jobs?

The job system - that series-defining trademark - will be implemented in FINAL FANTASY XIV (details such as specific jobs TBA). Quests to unlock each job will become available once you have reached a certain rank in the corresponding class.

From the sound of it, we will have to unlock both jobs and abilities via quests. Atleast thats what I saw when I read it. Which is pretty cool if I do say so myself.

I just hope said quests are more involved than: go slay 2 rats, 3 puks, and 2 goats. Once your done 2 unexpected ladybugs are going to spawn and scare the pants off of you and your friends. Better defeat them too if you want that job! Now that's fun right there <.<

I absolutely do. As long as the quests are relevant, exciting and fresh.

If this is a case of like.. Find X item and bring me X other items and I will unlock the job for you, then no.

If it's like unlocking Samurai where you have to get your first Great Katana specifically and specially crafted for you to be able to wield it. Or like Dark Knight where you had to taint yourself with the evil of a 100 monster deaths, then hell yes!!
