    Future Skills for WHM - Level Cap Increase

    My thoughts for some skills and for when they increase the level cap. Keep in mind this is assuming that they move the cap to 65 and they skills are kept as is with no modifications.

    Skills/Traits

    Level 52
    Widecure - Trait
    Increases range of all AoE skills by 5 yalms.

    Level 55
    Burn - Skill
    Places a fire based DoT on target with a potency of 20.
    Cast time: Instant
    Duration: 21 Seconds
    Recast: 2.5 Seconds

    Level 58
    Bedrock - Trait
    Increases potency of Stoneskin to 30%.

    Level 60
    Elemental Release - Skill
    Grants 100 points of elemental resistance to the entire party, based on last skill used.
    Cast time: 2.5 Seconds
    Duration: 60 Seconds
    Recast: 300 Seconds
    Range: 15 Yalms

    Level 62
    Focused Mind - Trait
    Increases Presence of Mind's duration to 20 Seconds.

    Level 65
    Tornado - Skill
    Deals wind damage for a potency 300.
    Cast time: 3 Seconds
    Recast 30 Seconds
    Radius: 10 Yalms

    While I agree with tornado, bedrock, and wide cure(with a cooldown), Burn and Elemental Release I don't. mainly because they do not fit the rotation or design of either conjurors or White Mages.

    Great Ideas, I don't think burn works well with CNJ/WHM based on the story (CNJ = earth, wind, water), I see where you're going with Elemental Release, I assume using earth/water/fire/wind would give you a buff and that's how it would decide, but then you'd need more elements. As well resistances haven't been very prevalent so far in the game.

    I would like to see another water spell, with just the one it feels like an after thought. Either a water bubble that works similar stoneskin but only prevents Magic Damage or maybe a self bubble that's instant cast (so that we can protect ourselves being so enmity intense). Or something a bit like the bubble in brayflox (2nd boss I think) that slows and does damage.

    I guess what is tricky is if there are abilities and traits for Conjurer to the level cap in addition to the potential of White Mage abilities.

    I'm thinking if the level cap is taken to level 60, that there would be at least 2 more White Mage abilities (and I can imagine Reraise fitting in there somewhere). And then maybe three more Conjurer traits in conjunction with 2 Conjurer abilities shared by any other jobs that fall under the Conjurer tree.

    Well, this is inspiring! I suppose I have a few ideas to share (or more generously, ripping off Final Fantasy tradition)...

    CNJ Level 52 - Reraise - 8 sec cast time, 30 minute cooldown
    Grants yourself the Reraise effect for 30 minutes. If defeated within that duration, you may resurrect at your current location, suffering the usual Raise penalties.

    CNJ Level 54 - Water II/Fluid Aura II - 2 second cast time, 40 second cooldown
    Encases the target in a bubble for 4 seconds, causing initial damage equal to 50 potency. After 4 seconds pass, the target takes water damage equal to 200 potency.

    CNJ Level 56 - Enhanced Reraise
    The cooldown of your Reraise is reset whenever you are defeated and resurrect outside combat.

    CNJ Level 58 - Salvation (Crossclassable maybe?) - Instant, 60 second cooldown
    Grants the Salvation effect on the target for 30 seconds. If the target falls below a certain health threshold while Salvation is active, the target will immediately regain health equal to 600 potency.

    CNJ Level 60 - Enhanced Water II/Fluid Aura II
    The delayed damage effect of Water II/Fluid Aura II now also causes damage in a 5 yalm radius.

    WHM Level 55 - Cure IV/Curaja - 3 second cast time
    Restores health with a potency of 500. Power increases by 1 % for every percentage of health the target is missing.

    WHM Level 60 - Arise - 2 second cast time, 10 minute cooldown
    Resurrects the target to full health and without a Weakened or Brink of Death penalty.

    I'm aware that half of the stuff is probably broken or uninspired, but it's late and I'd feel like a wuss if I replaced all numbers with Xs and Ys.

    I recall vaguely an interview in beta somewhere that the devs weren't adding Reraise in any form to prevent zombie tactics. It may have been back on the previous forums - am I hallucinating this?

    I seem to remember this too. Also, as far as the Burn skill goes, I was just trying to incorporate all the elements and Fire wasn't available. xD (Thunder is cross-classable)
