Is using the 24 hour clock really beyond you?

I understand that you need to perform maintenance - I even like that you stay on your toes, but please. Please, please either use the 24 clock, or put am or pm. Not a big thing. Actually really, really simple, but I think you'll find it'll make a great deal of difference to those of us wondering what the hell you're talking about, when you inform us days in advance, that maintenance will be performed on a certain date, between 7-9. 7-9 what? AM? PM?

Sorry but, what do you think they are using there? 24h system has no prefix or suffix like 12h. 7 - 9 is 7 - 9, period.
    Like http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...42fb210c1cb218 shows 21:00 - 22:15.

They've used the twenty four hour clock since the first beta.

I've not seen one example of 24 hour clock usage on notices.

SE has used the 24h clock as long as I remember from ffxi and continuing to ffxiv.

    Edit:
Actually, here is the schedule for the 10/1 maintenance, from the lodestone:

    [Date & Time]
    Oct. 1, 2013 from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. (PDT)
    * The completion time may be subject to change.

Pretty cut and dry, I think.

Ya it changes based on which site you read the news. "na." has the 12h while "eu." has the 24h.

It says GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) right there on your screen shot. It doesn't get any clearer than that. Also, no AM or PM indicator means it's on 24 hr clock, on GMT.

If there is no a.m./p.m. it is to be taken as 24 hour.

All "EU" maintenance posts are in 24 hour. All "NA" posts are in 12 hour.

I do not want to sound trollish or anything but damn. I know public schools suck but the amount of people who do not know how to read clocks and calculate time zone differences (EVEN IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY) is just sad. It makes my head hurt when people can't calculate what time something is in ET when the time is given in PT.
