    I probably didn't make myself clear enough. The incident you are referring to was a mass hack of all accounts on the Play Station Network and as such received immediate attention. What I am referring to is individual game accounts being hacked so that they can be used for various RMT activities. Law Enforcement will not expend the resources needed to investigate each occurrence. The only way is for the gaming companies to gather as much information (including IP Addresses) as they can concerning these accounts and forward it to Law Enforcement in the hopes that action can be taken. I am not sure that the companies want to devote the time end energy to do that so they just handle it in game.
