RMT site will just get a few more copies of FFIV and make new mules. I'm not knocking SE efforts, but this is a tempory set back at best.

Hmmm... well if they blocked bank accounts than they have routing numbers. If someone with the same Routing numbers creates dozens of accounts and mules, it wouldn't be hard to catch them and block them again immediately. I seriously doubt that someone could move their business to an entirely different bank. Not only that, if they use something like Paypal, SE can work with Paypal to be sure that certain user accounts are closed as well.

With bank accounts they don't mean accounts on real banks, but game accounts where all the gil are.Hmmm... well if they blocked bank accounts than they have routing numbers. In short, the RMTs lost all the gil.
Oh Okay, I didn't see the edited op. It just goes to show that every report we make is making the game better. If you get a /tell or see a shout for RMT services please report! ^o^

The thing is, it is very easy to avoid those routes.Hmmm... well if they blocked bank accounts than they have routing numbers. Most Asian RMT companies will just use their employees to make a new paypal/bank account and the whole operation is up and running again.
They'll just funnel enough money to the newly made account to pay for new codes, they probably won't even get past the trial period for subscription so that's no huge investment either.
And as many have experienced unfortunately, a good amount of their gil comes from compromised accounts as well and I can tell you already that S-E definitely did not get all of those so the smarter companies should already have a little stockpile of gil lying around again.
Don't believe me? You'll just have to check today's posts and count the "Help, I think I've been hacked" topics that pop up besides the existing ones where people still post in.
I think he's talking about tracing back to real bank accounts, but as I have said above, the smarter companies can easily work around that.
