How to fix RMT and Bots

Require a credit card to create a character.

Then when they ban an RMT they can also ban the credit card from being used again. I'm sure the hackers will get tired of buying pre-paid cards, or will run out of their own cards at some point. Ya I know this could be a problem for some legit players, but this would be the biggest deterrent that I can think of.

You underestimate the size and scope of RMT companies, stolen cards and large amounts of money supplied by players drive them, the best deterrent is not to buy gil.
