Seriously, don't comment on balance of dps if you aren't even level 50. Monk dps is good in any non primal fight.

lol monks have the highest DPS from what I have seen. This is based on the parser though so who knows. Our FC monk always has the highest DPS by a fair amount when everyone else is averaging out at the same DPS when we have been doing coil and Titan.

Monk dps is fine and GL timer is fine too. The job rewards skillful play and I don't want the GL timer increased to 20 seconds so we end up with another boring job. Only thing I would change is making Shoulder Tackle a mobility only skill. Get rid fo the stun and put it down to 20 second cool down. Maybe also make stacks drop down a notch instead of going to zero.

Just saying, I do agree with slightly raising GL timer and giving us a ranged way to keep up stacks, but Monk is NOT underpowered. I basically outdamage every single other class I've partied with so far.

I have pretty decent gear, but smartly using cooldowns and weaving in Steel Peak/Howling Fist whenever they're ready off GCD in between skills adds a lot. I haven't even tried Coil yet since my FC is slow to gear for it, but on any other content in the game I outdamage any class besides for maybe a 15 second burst period. I wait for GL3 and pop Perfect Balance and crit buff to burst with the best of them too.

Monk needs the position requirements off at least 3 attacks to give us a leveling or solo combo. A conjurer can kill faster then a monk solo and out dps them on demon wall type fights.

if you move through the mobs solo to the flank you can hit them with the flank bonus. and theres no way a whm ever outdpses a mnk unless they are absolutely awful.

You can get evey other attack flank attack if you dont lag then its really luck. still lower DPS then conjurer stone has potency of 140 stone 2 has 170 in DPS leveling gear the conjurer can out DPS monk. Tell mnk gets Gl 3 then I don't have not got that far. If you can't flank bc of skill or lag then the cnj is better and does more damage.

Our actual damage is fine, but there are a few QoL changes I personally hope for:

- Greased Lightning: The current duration is far too short for a game that encourages forces a lot of movement and off-target periods during combat.

- Shoulder Tackle: Its minimum range prevents it from being useful as a stun and its long cooldown prevents it from being useful as a mobility tool. It could use a shorter cooldown and a smaller/no minimum range. The stun seems unnecessary, but if anything it could be tied to distance to balance out a shorter minimum range.

- A true ranged attack: Something like Chi Blast from XI would be great. Doesn't have to be powerful, it just needs to go farther than spitting distance.

- Second Wind: I find it lackluster. Even with the Third Wind trait it barely heals for ~800HP and when your total heal pool starts pushing 3500+ it makes it feel very underwhelming. I know it's supposed to be more of a bandaid to keep you going between fights or in a pinch, but it could use some more love. Having it also clear certain status effects and/or give a small regen effect like XI's Chakra would be tits. It would give more personal utility at any rate and taking pressure off of the healers is never a bad thing.
