Why you should buy the PS3 version and not the PC version of this game

#2-The chat text from NPCs on the PC monitor is so small it will give you eyestrain to try to read the chat text. On the large TV the chat text is easy to read and more enjoyable.

There's this thing called "Resolution".

#3- Clicking on chat text many times with a mouse on the PC version will definitely strain your wrist muscles. With the PS3 you use a PS3 controller and there is no strain at all, just tap a button for constant chat from a NPC.

#4-The graphics on the PS3 version is just as nice on my TV as on my PC version. So you will not be missing out on any visual beauty

..as for gaming rigs, yup you can spend 3-4k upwards on a rig (this is more for "bragging" rights than practical..welcome to the world of PC Modding which to alot of hardcore gamers on pc is a hobby), but to play the latest games on highest settings.. this is what i have:

CPU: Intel Quad Q6600 - O/C'd (£40)
8 gig DDR2 Ram (Dual Chan) (£70)
GFX Card: GTX 660 OC (£120)
Mobo: £40
HDD: £40
DVD-RW: (£20)
PSU: £60
Case: £30

..No more than about £400.. & yup I play with all my settings on high with no issues.

I will be upgrading soon, not because i NEED to but because i want to, to me it's a hobby & i enjoy it.

..comments about monitors being limited.. lol. What exactly do monitors need in terms of PC gaming to improve them? ...only thing you need to look at is screen size (which ever you prefer) & response time (lower the better, mine is 1ms) & max resolution supported. Like for Like, Colours on a monitor are much more vivid & the refresh rate is also much higher & also images are much more sharper (providing you have a decent gfx card) Why do you think 99% of CAD users use Monitors & not TV's?

I have never played on a console. Won't do it. I support PC games only. I will never play console games. I wanted to play FF many years ago and couldn't because I won't support console gaming. It is destroying PC gaming. So hard to find any PC games now when you go to the computer stores...99% console games. Annoying...I have supported PC since the 80's and won't use a console.

Other than that it's overtaking the market, what exactly is so bad about consoles that you simply can't support it? I'm curious because I've played both on PC and Consoles and support both. They're just different gaming platforms with their own pros and cons. I know statistically console gaming is far outweighing PC gaming but it still seems like an irrational reason to not play on a console since you can support both.

Also, I'm sure there are emulators out there for the older FF games for you to play on the PC! c:

I don't get why ppl say " choppy " on the ps3 - I am not seeing any issues at all. Im not even having any problems with fates.

Talk to us again when you've reached lv40+ and go on fates like Svara, Behemoth or Odin where ALL server's lv50 gather in one single zone.

PC games will be around for just as long as console games, after all... its PC's that console games are developed on ^^ Sony released a version of the PS many moons ago (Developers Version) which allowed users to connect it to there PC to develop games.. needless to say, this was epic fail & was way over priced.

The simple thing is, game dev's will always release big titles on as many formats as possible as each format = profit, only thing stopping them is copyright licensing on certain titles to only allow it to be released on that format.

My two roommates have it for PC, and I have it for the PS3. It's a personal preference, I'm a console gamer and I figure I'll just upgrade to the PS4 version when it's released. I have the controller keypad attachment for my PS3 so typing isn't a problem.

This is pretty much where I sit. I feel much more comfortable using a controller than a keyboard for this game. Not only that, but while it is possible to upgrade your computer specs to optimize your gaming experience, it's also very expensive. Some of us are casual gamers that don't have or don't want to shovel out that much cash for improvements on minor trivialities.

Graphically there is a huge difference between pc on max settings and ps3. The frame rate is choppy on ps3 also.

Yeah, no. It's not the difference of the systems, it's the difference in the TV you use, and the quality of the cable. The better the TV/cable, the better the picture. Using Max settings with a non HD TV or a low end HD TV, will look like crap obviously. My PS3 version looks far better on the TV I have, then it does on some high end game PCs I've seen.

Buy whatever fits YOUR style. Not what others tell you to.

This. If you prefer the PS3, then go with that. If you like the PC better, use that.

you don't get to see fate mobs that well on ps3.

THIS IS NOT A PS3 ISSUE! for god sake, does anyone here not read developer notes, or visit areas of this forums where technical issues are discussed. This happens on PC as well. There's people with rigs costing several thousands of dollars having this issue. It's a load priority issues, meaning it's the game, not the system.

again a myth, when upgrading you dont have to redo the whole bloody thing, and it takes years, 4 years at least before you even want to consider upgrades of any 1 part to keep games decently or even longer then that, mid range parts have never been cheaper then ever before. high end parts arent trivial, they make a massive difference but thats where the price premium does step in, to play and to never drop below 60 FPS in a instance on pretty much max settings is why you pay for this kind of equipment, in fact, people with very high end systems play with 120 FPS/120 HZ screens as they can

I'm the opposite. I hate playing on PC. I hate sitting at a computer for hours on end. I do it all day at work, I'm not going to go home and do it there, too. If I can't play it on a console, I won't play it. The last time I played a game on PC was Myst.

This is a blatant lie TV and better cable (god I lol'd so much at that) don't make for better graphics a better graphics card does how ever.

By any chance these high end gaming rigs you talk of where still using good old CRT monitors and/or running at resolutions below 1920*1080 they are the only reasons it would look worse than a PS3 or some really sub par graphics card.

I know lets all go out and buy shine new cables and make our in game graphics better lol I mean come on.

And you can't do this on a PS3 so nuff said lol.

I mean come on people everyone will all have a preference and it is not wrong or right to dictate to people what they should play on but hands down any mid level (cheap) gaming machine will blow a PS3 out of the water.
