I skipped the CS the OP is talking about intending to watch it later. The entry for Toto-Rak only has TWO CSes you can watch, the intro and the victory, this long one IS NOT AVAILABLE. I therefore will never see it, so next time I'm not going to consider the others, sorry, the game doesn't let me.

Check the Journal for the storyline that goes with that dungeon. There should be an intro, one with the boss changing size due to masked badguy, and one when you defeat the boss (after you hit the exit) which has the Elder from Little Solace. The latter I believe is part of the storyline.

Yes, I and another tank and damage got this shoved down throat and crap-talked constantly for sticking to not skipping the scenes on Praetorium, to which personally I always replied invariably that I won't skip the scenes my *first* time through for the added padding of cushion time to account for possible wipes. As it turns, we were churning through with abundant throughput and the individual talking the worst and warning of doom and gloom, and it being our fault if we missed timer, ceased said crap-talk.

In the end, we one-shot everything, with another and I never skipping a scene. Did the multiple aggressors apologize? Negative. But I can surmise it was felt and unspoken.

Point being, *first* time though, if you want to enjoy the story then I would advise do so; there would be more runs and more runs so don't ruin your first.

As a note, I did click through dialogue with decent expedition, but refused to skip, and again we arrived at the end with over 40 minutes to spare.

I figured that, with the warning at the beginning of the dungeon of a first-timer, my party members would know to wait before starting the fight. Apparently not. Shouldn't there be a stipulation in the code or something about not allowing the boss to start until everyone is out of a cutscene?
Unfortunately, this is not a technical issue, but SE could code in something that if someone is in a CS, they can not engage the boss. However, that can also be prone to abuse (e.g., the one lone player can purposely stay in CS until the dungeon timer runs down) Since I play a tank (not this character, I've rerolled since the start), I can control this and will just /sit while someone is in a CS, preventing the kinds of problem you are facing.

I have always done instances as a tank. If it's my first time I will watch cutscenes. If they charge in without me or get me locked out then they can go fudge themselves the party list says I'm in a cutscene.

The first time I did the last two instances I got left behind while watching CS because noone said a word cept they all got pissy when everyone died. I got time I can do em as many times as needed but the first time I'd like to see the CS.

It's common sense not to start the encounter while someone in your party is marked in a cut scene. I never said or intended that it was common sense to not watch the cut scene. Not trying to condescend to you, but, you are aware players are marked in the party UI, right?

    That's sad to hear ><

Oh well, here is an interesting thing to think: What if the healer and the tank decide to just watch the cutscenes and the DPS go to boss fight without them? Once the tank and I (healer) got error 90000 in the middle of a dungeon and when we came back chaos happened...

You start instances together in that little red swirly circle thing.
Simple solution... Just patch the game logic so nobody can leave it till everybody has finished the cs.
Also, disable the chat box entirely during cs... That way, impatient kids will waste their breath not being able to chide or bitch at the people while their enjoying the story.

Ok, I guess I just misunderstood your original statement. And yes, I do know that Party List shows if someone is in a cutscene. My gripe was the our original tank just barged ahead and didn't even pay attention to that.
