As for CM, prae and AK. people want experienced people for speed runs. if you dont want to be judged for your gear, join a regular run. If you do a speed run with half your DD in low quality gear, it isnt a speed run anymore.

What about using the Duty Finder? Speed runs should be done by premade groups if they're so important to people, I use it because I don't care what kind of run it is, I just want to do it.

CM and Praetorium are story instances, you cannot fairly expect everyone to be highly geared for them.

My experience is you just send them a tell, and be like, well I'm a <insert class here>, I'm geared but I don't know the fight well. I think most people will say they will look for an experienced person, but if they can't, they'll probably add you.

Entirely false. Tumult damage isn't applied all at once; you can (and should) be healed well before 3k damage goes out. Hell, you could survive tumult with 1500 HP if your healers know the fight.

If you want to avoid the gear checks and crap, then you should be an a progression FC where you can learn and progress where people will hold your hand and help you up when you screw up. PUGs are there to get their shit done with people who have the gear and have done it before.

No, Pick Up Groups are just there to fill gaps in parties. You have to deal with whoever you get. Of course Item-Check is coming so eventually you won't have obviously undergeared people in your group, but you do have to deal with people without experience. If you want perfect members, you join an elitist endgame FC and only party with people you know. No one has to join a "progression FC" unless they want to. As much as nubs in Duty Finder upset you, they don't have to do ANYTHING you demand.

Ever tried applying for a Good job, "Must have college degree and 8 years experience etc", it's the same concept. You want to join an FC with experience and progression expect to meet the requirements, no one likes to carry someone or retrain people. There are entry level jobs for that in the RL just like there are entry level FC's in the game.

RL concepts apply to an online game where people are setting goals and using their time to accomplish said goal. It's not just a game because your not doing it alone. In a single player game, fine, play the way you want. In an online game you need to meet expectations of others to play with others. If you don't like the expectations of them, then find others with expectations you are ok with.

To be honest, no I am a good tank but i see these /sh al day saying,"Noob this and noob that," I am taking up for the little people. Think what you like (because opinions are like asses everyone has one) and I am just stating my opinion.
