Scholar Haste Buff: Great or Useless

I'm a scholar, and I typically use the haste pet for almost all content. However, I have heard mixed reviews on the haste buff from dps, from some saying its great to others saying its not significant.

For those who aren't aware, the haste buff increases skill and spell speed by 30%. I would assume for endgame raids (bahumuts coil, etc). This could be significant.

Does anyone know how much of a damage increase this would give to geared players (physical and caster dps)?

I suppose it would depend on the class. As a monk I love it because I already stack Skill Speed and it stacks with Greased Lightning. Dropping below a 2 second GCD is nice even if it burns through TP.

I can't speak for the damage increase, however I will just point out my own personal spell speed difference. So in my current gear, my 2.5 second cast time is dropped to 2.4 seconds. Using your pet, this is further dropped to 2.22. So given that your pet actually gives me more Spell Speed than the Spell Speed I currently have on my gear, I am going to have to say it is really awesome.

This also buffs your flat GCD timer, so any instant cast abilities cycle quicker as well, so I would think it would also help SMN as well.

My SCH tends to run with it out as soon as he determines that he doesn't need the added heals from another pet.
