No his problem is he wants to play the game, unfortunately for him the PvE MMO playerbase is at an all-time-low in terms of quality and has far too many lobotomised morons in it who play for "rewards" and the thinly disguised Skinner Box PvE is in most games, rather than things like challenge, gameplay, etc which are usually a very distant second.

To the point where people read the answers as it were before they go into a dungeon, rather than actually play the game and solve the mechanics themselves, I swear there are mice in laboratories that exhibit higher level behaviour than many MMO players.

This is a problem I have as well, why play the game if you have to use you tube videos to beat it. Work together and figure it out, I find that very fun but honestly it's wishful thinking, people don't seem to have the time or patience anymore and if you show a hint of not knowing what to do or make a couple mistakes, you get shit on or people just leave without saying a word or start whining and whining. It's kinda sad really.

I love mystery, not knowing what the next dungeon has in store, not knowing what this boss is going to do and being scared for my life.

Sadly as you said no one has patience for that. Everyone wants you to research or watch youtube videos. I'm legacy and I was already a lvl 50PLD so I played through the story mode pretty fast and played most of the dungeons blindly, its unbelievable to insults and attacks I had thrown out at me for not knowing the perfect dungeon strategy 2 weeks into the game.
