As a casual player, I realize I dread every dungeon in the story...

I play perhaps 30-40 minutes per day on average. I'm currently lvl 39 (resumed from level 32 in 1.0), and at about the level 28 point of the main story. I enjoy slowly progressing through the main story quests, but when I get to a dungeon I know I'm stuck until I get extra time to sit down and play it.

When I DO get to a dungeon and use the DF to get a party (thankfully I never need to wait since I'm a Tank), there is always someone in the group who knows what to do at each new boss. So we never wipe or fail (so far). This is taking a lot of the charm and fun out of doing these dungeons for the first time...

I have no time to stand around and seek a party of only new players for each story dungeon... going through them quickly with experienced people is a blessing in one way, and a curse in another.

They are so pretty and fun to move though and battle, but with no challenge yet (I hear it will come with the next dungeon though), Dungeons certainly feel like a low point in the game for me at the moment. I hope this changes.

You're complaining about having smooth dungeon runs? Did I read that correctly?

If you don't have much time to play why would you want to continually wipe on every boss until you learn the mechanics?

It's good in a way, since I have limited time... but at the same time I know it's causing me to enjoy the game less overall to always have someone in the party who can tell you exactly what to do, and not fail at least once to get a sense of accomplishment in the end.

I hear that the dungeons really ramp up in difficulty after the one I just finished (the "Manor" I think). If so, I'm looking forward to it.

Yah, you are probably right. And thanks for understanding my point.

Edit: It's very similar to the instance battles during the story and job questlines as well... Knowing that you are guaranteed success by the 3rd attempt thanks to the "Echo" takes all the satisfaction out of it... you know you win because it became much easier, not because you learned how to overcome a difficult encounter.

Yh kinda, i've always seen Brayflox longstop ( the next dungeon you'll have to do ) as a Tank test its kind of a big jump in difficulty the 1st time you do it.

I hope that even if you have been "carried" through dungeons, you have a full knowledge of your role because if you don't and get grouped with a bad healer, it will take way longer than your 30-40mins of free time to complete it.
Especially on last boss where success is totally up to the Tank ability to move mobs where we want them to be.

You can delete the echo buff with a right click on it. If you don't enjoy this stupid buff, and I know I don't, you can easily suppress it.

    This seems silly.

Please don't complain, you have gotten the better end of the stick. If you want a challenge, play a different class so you will have to wait longer + chances you would get a newbie group. I like taking my time, and I love a challenge, but after having to wait 30min-1hr to get a group (hell im also a whm) and then not being able to get through a dungeon or boss battle because we keep wiping or someone has to leave is frustrating. I was doing Titan story earlier this week, and after about 10 tries, I had to go to work, so never got it done. Waited another 30 min to get another group in duty finder after work, and got it done, but took a few tries.
